Sonnenuntergang am Lionshead Kapstadt – Sunset at Lionshead Capetown! [DE/EN]

Vor wenigen Tagen hatte ich euch den berühmten Tafelberg vorgestellt. Heute zeige ich euch einige Eindrücke vom etwas kleineren Lionshead der inmitten von Kapstadt liegt. Der Lionshead ist nicht weniger beliebt als der große Tafelberg, deshalb pilgern täglich hunderte Besucher auf den braunen Berg, wo man insbesondere den Sonnenuntergang hervorragend beobachten kann.

A few days ago I introduced you to the famous Table Mountain. Today I show you some impressions of the somewhat smaller Lionshead which is located in the middle of Cape Town. The Lionshead is not less popular than the big Table Mountain, therefore hundreds of visitors pilgrimage to the brown mountain every day, where you can watch especially the sunset or sunrise excellently.

Will man auf den Lionshead, so kann man den Gipfel des 669 Meter hohen pyramidenförmigen Berges, nur zu Fuß besteigen. Hier kommt man leider nicht in den Genuss einer aussichtsreichen Seilbahnfahrt wie es am Tafelberg der Fall ist. Der Anstieg ist aber nicht allzu schwierig und eigentlich für Jedermann schaffbar. Nur in der Schlusspassage muss man kurz etwas klettern. Für den Weg auf den Gipfel benötigt man eine gute Stunde. Jeden Tag zu Sonnenuntergang pilgern hunderte insbesondere junge Leute auf den Lionshead, deshalb sollte man rechtzeitig dran sein, um sich oben einen gemütlichen Platz zu sichern. Zudem sollte man auch einige Getränke oder Snacks mitnehmen, damit man am Gipfel auch eine kühle Erfrischung hat.

If you want to climb Lionshead, you can only reach the summit of the 669 meter high pyramid-shaped mountain on foot. Here, unfortunately, one does not get the pleasure of a panoramic cable car ride as it is the case at Table Mountain. However, the climb is not too difficult and actually manageable for everyone. Only in the final passage you have to climb a little bit. For the way to the summit you need a good hour. Every day at sunset hundreds of especially young people pilgrimage to the Lionshead, so you should be in time to secure a comfortable place at the top. In addition, you should also take some drinks or snacks, so that you also have a cool refreshment at the summit.

Neben dem Sonnenuntergang am Lionshead, habe ich euch auch noch einige schöne Eindrücke vom Sunset in Camps Bay mitgebracht. Der noble Stadtteil Kapstadts liegt direkt an der Küste und ist bekannt für einen wunderschönen langen Sandstrand und einer belebten Promenade. Hier kann man sich ein gemütliches Plätzchen an einer der vielen Strandbars oder Strandrestaurants suchen und den Sonnenuntergang vom Beach aus beobachten.

Besides the sunset at Lionshead, I also brought you some beautiful impressions of the sunset in Camps Bay. The noble district of Cape Town is located directly on the coast and is known for a beautiful long sandy beach and a lively promenade. Here you can find a cozy spot at one of the many beach bars or beach restaurants and watch the sunset from the beach.
