Every week, a new card will be featured. Its power, abilities, and possible strategies that can be incorporated on that card will be talked about. Its possible performance during battle will be analyzed. For this week, the spotlight is given to the Dragon Unit. The featured card is the DJINN CHWALA. This monster has an incredible ability and that is the reason why many players love to use this monster. To know more about these monsters, let's do the feature!

THE LORE

Dawn of the Djinn 4 of 4 - Only a short time after the Djinn were released, most of them were already seeing their elemental captivity as a blessing rather than a curse. They had far greater power than before, now that they were working with the force of the Planet at their backs. Pursuit of power was at the core of Belludae beliefs, so most of them would make small sacrifices for greater power.

The Djinn have not all found one another, and it will be difficult for them to do so since many of them reside in different elements. This is why several of the Djinn have submitted themselves as cards in the Moxian games, so they can connect with their lost brethren. Gradually they will come together to Praetoria as part of the last lines of defense, channeling the power of the Planet into an impenetrable wall to hold back the Chaos Legion.

THE CARD POWER

DJINN CHWALA is an Epic Dragon Monster with Thorns ability at Level 1. Monsters with this kind of ability can make damage back to its melee attacker. It is such a useful ability because it can win by just letting other monsters attack. This monster has two (2) melee attacks, two (2) speed, five (5) shields, and nine (9) lives. The two (2) melee attacks are useful in the battle. It is an okay number of damage. The only downside of it is that it can turn into one (1) damage only if the tank of your opponent has Shield ability. For two (2) speed, for my battle experience this week, I can say that it is somehow helpful. It can evade attacks. The 10% chance of evading attacks works. In terms of its shields, I can say that the five (5) shields are a big help and such a huge advantage for this monster. It is also perfect for its ability. It can let other melee attack monsters attack so that it can make damage to its attackers without reducing its own life. Also, nine (9) lives is impressive. It can totally make this monster survive for a long time. But the downside of this monster is its high mana needs. It needs eight (8) mana in order to get summoned.


One of the things that we can do to strengthen this monster is to level it up. As it grows, it gains new abilities, which is helpful during battle. The following are the abilities that it can learn:

Has increased melee and range attack when damaged. The attack of Djinn Chwala will be 1.5 times stronger than its original attack.

This monster cannot miss attack. Blind doesn't affect monster with True Strike.

THE BATTLE TECHNIQUES

Most of the time, the winning team in Splinterlands is the team with the best positioning, perfect monster combinations, and highly strategic plan. It is not about the number of damages that your monster has, it is about the battle techniques you can employ during the battle. With that, here are some of the tips that you can consider while using Djinn Chwala in the field.

  • PLACE THIS MONSTER IN THE FIRST POSITION ALL THE TIME. This monster has tank characteristics and its ability is perfect for this position. Let melee attackers attack this monster. By doing that, this monster can definitely create at least four (4) damages to your opponent.

  • INCREASE THE SHIELD OR RESTORE THE SHIELD OF THIS MONSTER. This monster already has a high number of shields but it will be better if it gets higher. Letting this monster to be the target of melee attackers is a good thing if this monster does not gain reduction in its life. The more this monster lives in the field, the more damage you can bring to you opponent. Here are the cards that can give this monster additional shields ore restore its shield.

These summoners and monsters can elevate the power of your monster and extend the life of it.

DO'S AND DONT'S FOR THIS CARD

  • NEVER INCREASE THE SPEED OF THIS MONSTER. This monster has Thorns ability and in order for it to function, the melee attacker must hit this monster. Increasing the speed of Djinn Chwala will not help it to become better in the field. Djinn Chwala must be attacked in order to win the battle.
  • NEVER PLACE THIS MONSTER ON OTHER POSITION ASIDE FROM THE TANK POSITION. Most of the melee attackers can only attack if they are in the first position. That is the reason why this monster should only be in the first position so that it will be attacked by as many melee attackers as possible.
