Why The West Must Understand Africa Now shows that The United Nations declared 2015-2024 The International Decade For People of African Descent. The article discusses The Scramble For Africa in The Berlin Conference in 1884-1885 which colonized Africa and the creation of today’s 55 African nations. This article shows the attempts by those nations to unite into one country with one capital, one currency, one passport, and one army.

When Moors Rescued Europe From The Dark Ages
The video above explains why Africa is poor. However, it doesn’t explain why Europe and America are rich. When Moors Rescued Europe From The Dark Ages shows that when the Moors ruled Spain from 711-1492 AD, they brought Europe out of the Dark Ages by re-introducing the wisdom of ancient Egypt forgotten by the Greeks. Europe was illiterate except the clergy. The Moors introduced libraries and established 17 universities to which Western Europe flocked. They replaced Roman numerals with the Arabic numbers we use today. The Moors created gardens that enhanced the health of Spain.
The Moors introduced awesome architecture that is the pride of Spain today. While the kings of England were living in huts, the people of Spain had air-conditioned and heated homes with lighted, and paved streets. The Moors introduced maps, ship-building, and guns. Without the Moors, Spain, Portugal, England, etc. could never have conquered the Americas or Africa.
Without the Moors, Europe might still be in the Dark Ages. However, instead of sharing the knowledge they were given, Europeans genocided and stole the Americas and Africa. When President Jefferson defeated the Moors in 1804, no one was left to tell the true world history. Europeans then claimed Greeks (not Egypt) founded Western civilization. Europeans created The Myth of White Supremacy which claims Whites invented everything and therefore have a right to everything.

In the video below, he explains how the Berlin Conference (11/15/1884 – 2/26/1885) carved up Africa, why that happened, and the consequences for an African Renaissance. Dr. Asante says that when Idi Amin, President of Uganda, went to Scotland, he said if Europeans can name themselves kings and queens of African nations, he could name himself king of Scotland! Dr. Arikana Chihombari-Quao is a medical doctor who after living for many years in Zimbabwe moved to Tennessee where she has practiced medicine for over 25 years ago. From 2017-2019, Dr. Chihombori-Quao served as the representative to the US for the African Union. On March 18, 2018, 54 of the 55 African nations signed the African Continental Free Trade Agreement to create a single market and deepen economic integration of the continent. There's A Battle Going On Between The Economic Superpowers Of The World explains that China plans to invest $60 billion in Africa over the next decade and has built infrastructure across the continent. It also shows that many Big Tech companies view Africa as the next giant consumer market. Korea’s Samsung captured the African cellphone market. Amazon announced plans to build a $100 million data center in Capetown, South Africa in 2020.
The video explains that the African technology market is the fastest growing in the world. Jack Dorsey, CEO of Twitter and online banking platform Square said, “Africa will define the future”. Facebook is one of the biggest American investors in Africa, trying to compete with the Chinese company Huawei on telecom infrastructure.
However, Google is the biggest investor in the African tech economy. In addition, Microsoft, Netflix, IBM, Cisco, and Uber are combined investing billions of dollars per year in Africa. All of these are fueling the rapid modernization of Africa’s infrastructure. The video discusses Jumia, Africa’s leading ecommerce platform, the first African tech company to be listed on the New York Stock Exchange.
The video concludes that we are witnessing the rapid development of an entire continent.

Africa leaders play a vital role in making Africa poor. They honestly forget that if they do not embezzle funds and they do the needful with public funds then the growth of Africa will be unstoppable.

However, Professor Lumumba is also quick to point out that the colonial powers punish integrity with assassinations and coups and reward corruption that facilitates their unrestricted exploitation to Africa's vast wealth. Thus, for example, when Patrice Lumumba (whom Malcolm X called "The greatest man to ever walk the African continent") was elected Prime Minister of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, he was quickly murdered reportedly on the orders of Eisenhower, the UN, and Belgium. We saw the same problem in the US with the murders of JFK, Dr. Martin Luther King, Malcolm X, and RFK. This is a deeply systemic problem which requires a profound understanding of Western history. So, in our opinion, it is a mistake to assume that all Africa's problems are due only to corrupt African leaders. We must look MUCH deeper because the source of the problem is, in our opinion, not in Africa although the manifestation is seen there.In Africa today there are poorer and richer among the states. There is nowhere that one who has a better standard of living wants to share the poverty of his neighbor by throwing it away.
As for the oversimplification of the Moors and their influence in Europe, I don't see if it really helps. It is not historically true that in all of Europe in the period you mention there was spiritual decline. This mainly happened in Western Europe, where the despotism of the Pope led to spiritual decline. In the east, the Eastern Roman Empire (Byzantium) had universities and seats in all sciences! It is no coincidence that the renaissance began when, after the fall of Constantinople in 1453, all this intellectual and scientific wealth fled to Europe!
Thanks for your very informed comment. You make a wonderful point. You said earlier that you are from Greece. That perhaps helps provide you with more insight about the important role of the Byzantine Empire than most Americans (or Western Europeans?) have. A scholar whose work I saw recently but can't find right now explained that in American universities, the Byzantine Empire is not included in "Classical" studies. So, universities do not consider the Byzantine Empire part of Europe! In other words, "Europe" to most Western European and Americans means only Western Europe! So, perhaps it would be more accurate to say that Western Europe fell into the Dark Ages and was rescued by the Moors. Thank you for explaining that after the fall of Constantinople in 1453, all that intellectual and scientific wealth fled to Europe. We were not aware of that and it is a key explanation of the sudden Renaissance. We had attributed the Renaissance to the introduction of "The Hermetica" (Egyptian wisdom) -- as do the British authors of The Hermetica: The Lost Wisdom of The Pharaohs. You have opened our eyes to whole new (for us) and fascinating chapter of European history! Thanks so much.
However, we would say that the role of the Moors was absolutely key to bringing Spain, Portugal, France, England, and the rest of Western Europe out of the Dark Ages. The despotism of Popes you mentioned had led to a situation in which only the clergy was literate. So, until the arrival of the Moors, no one else in Western Europe could read or write. They were also using the clumsy Roman numerals. Imagine doing math with those! You also make a good point that some African nations are wealthier than others and may not be doing enough to help the poorer nations. We see that in America as well where there is enormous disparity of wealth. My guess that's also true throughout Europe. China seems to be the only nation that has worked recently to bring millions of people quickly out of poverty. We really appreciate your very informed comments!

If anything, the trend seems to be towards disunity over the last few decades. South Sudan splitting off from the rest of Sudan, Eritrea leaving Ethiopia (and now, Tigre maybe in the process of leaving Ethiopia), Nigeria drifting towards maybe a three-way split (north and southeast breaking away?), Libya seemingly splitting east/west, the list of divisions goes on and on.
Sure, some success stories here and there (Botswana in particular, arguably Senegal and Ghana too), but continent-wide unity could take a long time.
The moors how ever are great people and I never knew about them, cause I taught British where actually the founders of such intelligence and lol, I would have to follow up to read more about your stories and history .
Thanks for your thoughtful comment. Since the profound impact of the Moors on European civilization is not taught in Western schools, almost no Europeans or Americans know about it now. It was erased from Western history after President Jefferson defeated the Moors in 1804. It was also then that Europeans and Americans started claiming that the ancient Greeks were the authors of Western civilization. However, recently, British authors have explained that all the ancient Greeks studied in Egypt, the center of learning, which is the real source of Western culture. Because the US Founding Fathers worshipped ancient Egypt, we are all living in ancient Egypt now -- with eyes wide shut. Egypt's profound influence was not just on the Greeks. When "The Hermetica" (Egyptian knowledge) was introduced in Europe in the 1500's, it jump-started the Renaissance and Reformation and may have led to the Enlightenment. In his book "Black Athena: The Afroasiatic Roots of Classical Civilization Volume I: The Fabrication of Ancient Greece 1785-1985 (Volume 1)" British author Martin Bernal took some steps in the right direction.
