Myria!!! We're so glad you could make it! We've been planning this party for months and we're glad you could come. Psyber-X is a first person shooter (FPS) game where transactions are recorded on the Hive Blockchain. This post is recorded there, too!

I wanted to introduce you to Hive for many reasons. We chose our home to be with Hive because of the community and because of the feeless transactions. Myria also has a great community and has now made it's Layer 2 as a feeless layer to Ethereum. You're going to find out that we have a lot in common in just a second.

If you've never heard of the Hive blockchain, we're ready to teach you a few things about it. First, while you are not required to have a Hive account to play Psyber-X, all of our game is optimized and programmed with Hive connect-ability in mind. With that being said, if you create a Hive account, you'll be the closest to our game than other chains. We have certainly built a bridge to Avax and will be building to Myria's L2 soon, but we want you to come and create a Hive, too.

What does Hive have to offer?

We already mentioned community and a feeless blockchain, but we need to spell some things out...let's start with some definitions, and as a blockchain/crypto enthusiast, you should understand some of these concepts, already...

Hive	The native currency on the Hive blockchain
Hive Power	Staked Hive, or Hive that has been "Powered Up." Once Powered Up, it locks your Hive until you tell the blockchain to "Power Down" and you can Power Down partial amounts. The Powering Down process takes 13 weeks in equal payouts each week.
Hive Backed Dollars	This is Hive's stablecoin. It may not be worth an American $1, but it's usually very close.
Hive's 2nd Layer	Communities can use BEE to create a new token on the Hive blockchain. LVL is Psyber-X's in-game currency and was created on Hive's 2nd layer.
Hive Engine	This is the Market for buying/selling all of Hive's 2nd Layer tokens.
Resource Credits	In order to record anything on the Hive blockchain, Resource Credits are used. For instance, if you want to write a post like this one, you need to have enough Resource Credits for it to be recorded. If you want to create a new Hive account, you pay with Resource Credits. These total number of credits are granted to every user dependent on how much Hive Power they are holding. It regenerates 20% per day every day. So if you use 20% of your Resource Credits on day 1, on day 2, you'll be back to 100%.
Upvote/Downvote	With enough Resource Credits, you can tell someone that you really liked their blog post with an upvote. Depending on your Hive Power, a portion of the day's payout will be delegated toward the author/beneficiary of the post. If someone plagiarizes, you can also downvote them, or tell the blockchain that they do not deserve to be paid out for their content. After 7 days, the payout earned is divided and paid out. 50% goes to the author of the post or their designated beneficiaries and 50% goes to the accounts that upvoted/curated the post.
Curation	Accounts that upvoted content are curating/maintaining the integrity of the blockchain by upvoting what they think is great content or downvoting harmful/damaging content. The good is compensated and the bad is rejected without or with reduced compensation.

Prior Planning/Preparation

Psyber-X anticipated that we would need a LOT of Resource Credits so people could create Hive accounts. With that anticipation, we have allowed other folks on Hive to delegate their Hive Power to us. In return, they get a payout per day based on payouts we earn through the curation side of Hive. With that delegation, we increased our Resource Credit balance and we have stored enough to creating dozens of Hive accounts (and at some point, potentially thousands). This means that instead of spending $3 USD to create an account, we can offer you an account using our saved up credits and offer it to you free of charge.

For now, use THIS LINK to start your new account on the Hive blockchain. Once you've done that, please reach out to us on Discord and let us know you now have a brand new Hive account!

You will get a master key (you should be familiar with these if you're coming from Myria as you're likely familiar with Ethereum and Bitcoin at this point). Save this. You'll get several other keys, too. A Posting key, a Active key, and a Memo Key. Each one does something different, with elevating permissions. One will let you make a post but won't let you make a transaction on the Hive Engine, etc. I highly recommend that you download the Hive Keychain extension found here: https://hive-keychain.com/ You can enter all your keys there and keep them password protected. Much of what is offered on Hive is simplified by using the Hive Keychain. You just import your keys and away it goes. Again, don't lose your keys or you'll lose access.

Once you've created your account and told us on Discord that you've done so, go check out the Hive Engine and pick up as much LVL as you'd like. Next, go to http://www.psyberxmarket.com and check out our marketplace. Sign in using your brand new Hive Keychain for both sites so you can see what all is offered.
