Tiana a big black girl in New Orleans trying to realize her father James's dream for her family to have a restaurant. After his father died, the spirit of Tiana, who now lives alone with his mother Eudora, increasingly passionate to realize his father's dream.
He currently works as a waitress in two different restaurants so he can have enough savings to open a restaurant.
Tiana friends with Charlotte (Lottie) is very rich. They have been friends since childhood. Charlotte is so spoiled by her father Big Daddy La Bouff. As a child, Eudora often makes a princess outfit for Charlotte. The dreamer Charlotte always craved a handsome prince rich nan would become her husband someday.
Tiana and Charlotte strongly believe in the dreams that every fairy tale has to offer their request to the star.
When it got word that there was a prince who visited New Orleans along with the Mardi Gras party.
Cash this made Lottie so enthusiastic and whining to his father to have a dance party that invited the prince.
Apparently Prince Naveen, the handsome prince who likes to have fun and likes jazz, is in a state of bankruptcy since his pocket money was stopped by his father. It forces Prince Naveen to do something, find a job or marry a rich princess.
The arrival of Prince Naveen also attracted the attention of Doctor Facilier, an evil voodoo shaman. Shrewdly he could persuade the prince and Lawrence, the assistant to enter his home. Through black magic rituals, Doctor Facilier bewitched Prince Naveen into a frog and Lawrence as Prince Naveen. Doctor Facilier wished that Lawrence (who had been bewitched as Prince Naveen) could marry Lottie and they could exhaust the possessions of Lottie's father.
While the fate of Prince Naveen had to find a princess who would kiss him to turn it back into a human.
At a party held by her childhood friend Charlotte, Tiana, who wore a dress like a princess, met a frog escaped from a cage and revealed that she was actually Prince Naveen, transformed by a magician.
Remembering the legend that a kiss of a princess would transform itself back into its original form, the frog thought Tiana was a princess and convinced Tiana to kiss her.
SYNOPSIS
The story is based on a fairy tale of a princess who kisses a frog. Then the frog is transformed into a handsome prince. This is Walt Disney's latest animated film, which took place in New Orleans.
It is said that there lived a black girl named Tiana (Anika Noni Rose) who had to work extra hard for his aspirations to open a restaurant that became his father alamarhum ideals. Elsewhere, there was also a prince of jazz music lovers, Prince Naveen (Bruno Campos) who had just arrived in New Orleans.
In stark contrast to Tiana, Naveen's prince is very spoiled and just knowing to have fun, so when his parents decide to stop his allowance, he goes looking for a rich girl to marry him.
Arriving in New Orleans, Naveen meets an evil man named Dr. Facilier (Keith David). Facilier uses the prince's blood to change his servant's appearance, James (Terrence Howard) becomes exactly the same as Prince Naveen. The prince himself transformed into a frog.
Apparently Facilier intends to cheat a rich girl named Charlotte (Jennifer Cody) to marry a fake Naveen.
Meanwhile, the frog, aka the original Naveen Prince, meets Tiana whom he thinks is a true princess. Naveen believed, if he did
kissed by a princess, then she will again become a human being. Therefore, he persuaded Tiana to kiss her. But unfortunately, instead of Naveen reincarnate into a human, the kiss was even made Tiana bandwagon turned into a frog.
