Happy 50th Birthday, Fiat FED Note Dollar. Fifty years ago, 8/15/1971, President Nixon's Puppeteers, decided to go with "paper is better than Gold idea." They had to do it because France had a boatload of fiat dollars that they were going to trade for physical Gold.
It is rumored that the 8,000+ tons of Gold is still setting in Fort Knox, West Point or where ever the Fed is keeping it.
