Today's Coin Show Find - 10/9/2021

in #silvergoldstackers2 years ago

It is ironic, finding this One- Ounce Silver Engelhard Bar, today, at a Local Coin Show. A few hours after getting home, and going to GoldKey - @goldkey post in Silver Gold Stackers - #silvergoldstackers and seeing his Engelhard beauty similar to this:

Silver Engelhard Bars are pretty rare, and some can carry a numismatically high premium.

In many years and decades, Engelhard produced many different sizes, of silver 0.999 pure bars, prefect for stacking while storing valuable wealth. I am going back tomorrow and take a closer look for whatever I must have missed. Looked like at least fifty deals at today's show. Thanks for looking, and stack 'em is like them.

Sort:

They go at a small premium I heard. Never seen in Europe....

Thanks for looking, Goldrooster - @goldrooster. Yes, the one I picked up was like $27, fair premium. But, some rare Engelhards, are priced at extremely high prices. Mintages can be as low as ten. Apparently, Engelhard was minting special order Silver Bars, for private companies, banks, S&Ls, etc... so rare, that some issues, have not been seen or reported. But Englehard reported them produced, sold and delivered. And yes, there are reports of fakes, phonies, and counterfeits, that are still 0.999 Silver.

Silver Engelhard Bars are pretty and rare!
Stack on, @cve3!

Thanks for looking, SILVER SAVER - @silversaver888. Yes, some are very rare and the Dealer, at the Local Coin Shop, knows it. Actually, there is a growing interest in Silver Bars. Many old, Defunct, Out-of-Business, Silver Companies kept good records, on totals and mintage number. Those Silver pours you are showing have great future potential. Especially, the documented, certified, unique (one-of-a-kind) hand-made examples.

Engelhard is sure coveted, @cve3.

Great find. Can never go wrong with an Engelhard

Thanks for looking @silverd510. Yes, I went back, today, and found, a most common Engelhard bar, 1-oz, for $27 (USD). (Same Dealer) But, it was the only other one I saw, with like 50 Dealers. High dollar, numismatic, and graded stuff, galore! Hardly any Bars, of any kind. Not even the popular, the Canadian, RCM, ten ounce Bar. Maybe they are too heavy to lug around, can't imagine.

High end coin shows never have much bullion on hand. Not enough money in it. Plus it’s not the type of clientele that show up at it.

Almost missed this post, under the wire!

Thank again for looking and commenting, @kerrislravenhill.
