Constitutional Silver Coins, Ninety Percent US Coins, Survival/Prepper Silver Coins or just plain Junk Silver Coins are coming back to the Local Coin Shop, at least in my neighborhood. These beautiful treasures can be a fun and interesting way to stack and store a little or a lot of wealth.

These 90% Silver Quarter Dollars, went for under $5 fiat (USD), each. Or about a premium of $1 (20% over spot Silver). This is a bargain to me, since, at least one, is over a century old. Several are approaching 100 years.

I think this is the best of the group, even though the date was probably worn off long ago. The raised date, the highest part of the coin's surface, would be the first part to wear off. The US Mint corrected the design flaw, in 1925 & later Quarters.

Notice the S - San Francisco is really clear.

The date is probably between 1917 - 1923. Notice the five times a V for Victory is/was used to celebrate the victory of the "Great War", later referred to as World War One, in the USA, and The First World War, in England, during World War Two or the Second World War. Yeah, that was a wordy sentence.

Standing Liberties and Barbers... gotta have those!!

Thanks for looking and commenting, SILVER SAVER - @silversaver888. Yes, as a child the Standing Liberty was common to get in change, but I never saw the older Barber in circulation or change. Late 1950s.

Excellent haul cve3! I like tha Barber quarters, and the older ones with the soaring eagle. Great finds!

Thanks again for looking and commenting, @thedamus. I've always had a thing about hundred-year-old things. It wasn't long ago that all Barbers reached 100 yo and Mercurys/Libertys just started.

Agreed! And there’s arguably nothing more tangible from the past than money made out of precious metal.
😎👍 rock on

The Standing Liberty is my favorite quarter. Nice haul

Thanks for looking and commenting, @silverd510. Yes, the Standing Liberty Quarter & other old Silver Coins were still in circulation, in the late 1950s. Most were dateless & worn. It must have taken many trades to get so worn.

One of the problems with the design of both the Standing Liberty and the Buffalo nickel was the dates were the high point of the coin. That’s why many are dateless. Still a beautiful design.
