Does your laptop really suck?
Do you have an old laptop that is slow and maybe running out of space?
I do!! I have an HP stream that was running out of space due to windows taking up 29 GB of space out of 32 GB of ECC. It was slow and lagged a lot.
An easy solution was to install a new OP system. I did just that by installing Chrome OS flex.
The flex version is basically a light version of chrome OS. You wont be able to run apps on the flex which is fine for me because this is just my laptop I use for browsing and well writing posts on PeakD, and using sites like ListNerds.
The install is straight forward and really easy. Search for chrome OS flex and check the certified models list to see if your laptop is listed.
After that you will need somewhere to download the installer software. I used a usb stick I had laying around. You will neeed a minimum of 8 GB for the download.
Once downloaded you reboot your laptop from the usb device. Now it gives you the option to test out flex or complete the install and delete windows permanently.
There is a complete set of instructions to follow on google. I'm happy.:) My laptop is lightning fast compared to how it was. Also with all the ewaste it feels good to renew an old laptop and get some more use out of it,

A great way to recycle an ageing laptop - though as a confirmed hater of all things Google, i'll probably avoid it lie the plague - lol. I've been doing the same with all of mine over the years, with what I consider to be an even better variety of OS's - Linux (current prefered distro is Linux Mint - I esspecially get immense pleasure in banishing Windows bloatware from all the laptops i rescue - lol).
