Welcome!

We will start a series of short but powerful posts to share images and information about the SPK Network. We want to explain these complex concepts in a way the average internet user understands them. That is why we asked @ryzeonline to make these awesome illustrations.

The first image compares the Old Internet and Web 3, in this case, the SPK Network.

The "old internet" is still around. A lot of people keep using social media sites like Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, and more. In the "old internet", also known as Web 2, the users are at the bottom of the chain. Sure, they can create content, but they do not truly own it and they don't own their accounts. Corporations have all the power, they store all of the information in a centralized manner and all the funds too. Sometimes they choose to share a tiny bit of the revenue, but if you break one of their rules, you are out, demonetized, and even banned.

In the "new internet", also known as Web 3, you are the owner of your account. You own all your information, no one can take away your funds, but that also means you are responsible for them. Also, you can choose to store your data or delegate that task to someone you trust. Run by the community, and you are in control.

More info about the SPK Network:

The SPK Network is a decentralized Web 3.0 protocol that rewards value creators and infrastructure providers appropriately and autonomously by distributing reward tokens in such a way that every user, creator, and platform, will be able to earn rewards on a level playing field.

Glad you got @ryzeonline to do this. He has a talent for simplifying things and I am happy to see a Hive project, especially one as important as 3speak making use of his talents

Thanks for saying so! It was a fun project!

(Interesting side-note: Some of the drawings I had originally made even simpler, and though I pushed strongly for them to remain that way, often times my desire for simplicity was over-ridden or vetoed. 😉)

Wooooo! It's happening! Watch out world! :) 🙏

(And thanks for the tag, was a fun collaboration. Go SPK!)

!BEER cheers

Much appreciated! 🙏

The idea of decentralization in SPK networks can change the world, just like renaissance in the dark age before

Awesome stuff. So whats the best way for me to get started in the speak network?
As a content creator I will definitely be uploading some videos to 3speak and Ive just joined the discord server. Is there a token I could be filling a bag with? x

I am still confused about the reason for creating another platform? Wasn't 3speak okay? Or was something missing? What is their biggest difference, hive and IFPS?
