Merry Christmas and a Happy Splinterlands' New Year!

Hello everyone! I'm just posting a personal letter to all of you. Consider it my Christmas letter! I wanted to let everyone know my plans for the end of this year and into the next! You see, I've been really wondering how to manage all the tax issues with crypto, and I'm hoping to continue my little venture with Splinterlands and even expand if all goes well, but I don't want to do something wrong and not claim something when I should or however all that works.

I don't know how you all handle your taxes, and anyone who cares to share their advice, I'm seriously ALL EARS! Speaking of ears, I was so happy to hear at the recent Town Hall that Splinterlands IS working on finding a way to help us solve the crypto tax headaches, and that will truly help those mainstream folks join the game. So, in a Christmas letter, you usually share what's been happening over the past year and what the future holds, so let's get started. Please sit by the crackling fire, and I hope you enjoy!

Dear Splinterlands Family,

I joined you all towards the end of the summer, because I heard Splinterlands was a wonderful crypto game, and I needed a miracle. I've had some rough years, as I'm sure many of us do, but I try to be the girl who smiles in the room even in tough times. I've known there would be a plan, I just didn't know what the plan was. I'm still not completely sure where God is taking me, but I do believe in God and I do believe He is excited to show me. Sometimes I feel like He is the one who eagerly waits for me -- like a child on Christmas morning -- and I'm the parent dragging my feet to new change and childlike adventures.

Anyways, after joining the Splinterlands' game, I realized I could blog to earn more money to play! I've been told I'm a decent writer, but I never thought anyone would want to listen to my silliness, so I never tried. But when this whole Hive blogging concept was introduced to me, I wanted to earn crypto so that I could play and be a part of the Splinterlands' game. I especially wanted land. From my blogging, some lucky wins and wonderful friends, I do have land now, and I'm so proud to make a home with Splinterlands.

So, because I love you all so much, and because you've changed my life so much, I will always appreciate you!! Because you have given me so much, I hope to give back to Splinterlands and you all by writing and supporting you who blog as well!! My time is more limited these days, but I hope to find a way to give back AND to expand. Therefore, I have decided I should start a company and move my account under it so that my blogging will be more official. So, in order to make sure the taxes all work out properly, I will make today my last blog for this year, and I will start fresh in the New Year! :) I will still write here and all will be the same so you won't even notice I'm doing this company thing, because it's just really about the taxes... at least, for now. I hope to have more to announce about that sometime in the new year!

Yes, family, I have big dreams and big hopes and big plans, and whatever happens or doesn't happen, I am just so happy that all my smiles and tears and joys and sorrows are working towards something good. I hope you also are finding your dreams and hopes and working towards them! We are never too old to dream!

My Christmas wish (more like a prayer really) is that whoever reads this, and I mean it sincerely, will be blessed with TRUE riches. I do not mean monetary wealth which is lovely, but the riches of life - of real joy. I hope you've found people in your life that let you know how loved, appreciated and special you are to them. I pray you are safe from worries and anxieties of the world and are instead content with the little things... be that your family, your friends or little joys in your day that are often worth so much more than any gift or treasure! I hope you have all that you need and just enough of what you want. :)

I will not be commenting or blogging after this post until January 1st (although if you need me, I'm sure you can reach out and I'll see it!!). This is going to be tough for me to not chat with you all for a bit, but the time will fly and I look forward to "seeing" you all in the new year!
