RE: Validator Node License Rewards

in #splinterlands2 years ago

Well, you can stake sps and earn enough staked sps votes from others who stake sps and never buy a node and still profit. But if people done like you, they won't stake their aps on you and you won't earn. Gotta invest money to make money and those who invest get money how is that hard to understand?

Sort:

I know how proof of stake systems work, I run nodes for several different chains including Hive Engine... And with none of those too I have to have a license to earn. I’d rather just stake the tokens and use my node infrastructure elsewhere. I get the idea, but yeah, still too expensive of a buy in. How hard is that to understand?

You don't have to pay anything to run a node. Just have to be well liked in the community. I can see your problem though. Just means better roi for the rest of us who believe in the future of the game.

So if someone wants to turn off a node, they would have to find someone else that wants the license instead of just turning off the node, what if at that point nobody wants the license, we’ll you are stuck with it. Again, I would just rather have the tokens staked. Has nothing to do with not believing in the project. Anyway, have fun with it.

And yes, nodes cost money to run… you are either running a computer that costs money to power and a strong solid internet connection which isn’t cheap, or you are using a VPS which costs money to run monthly…. Again, I make a portion of my living from running nodes on 6 different blockchains, I know how it works.
