# Splinter Stats Ranked Rewards Season 2 Report Card

We reached the end of the first season under the new reward system, and I have to say, I think it was a big success. Granted, the Splinterlands RNG still hates me, but at least I had a lot more opportunities to experience that hate. Or did I?

If you add up the total number of chests, both daily and EOS, I think I ended up opening about the same number of chests this season as I did last season. In the end, I received fewer daily chests, but made up for it by receiving a lot more End of Season chests. And since I was receiving Diamond chests, my average rewards per chests were much improved over the old standard chests.

Match Report

Performance

I made it into Diamond 1 league this season. With the new reward system, I won't even try to make a push to reach Champion League. My deck is just not strong enough to win enough matches to get enough Champion reward chests to make it worth the effort and expense.

My Win/Loss ratio took a big hit this season, falling to a paltry 0.89 for the entire season. Having engaged in almost 500 battles, I learned that I have a few holes in my deck. That is to say a couple of my splinters are very weak. So, my play this season is to try and push a little harder on days my focus is a strong splinter and battle less on weak focus days to recharge my capture rate.

Summary

I participated in two Alpha only tournaments this season. I won a total of 93.5 SPS which gave me a net prize total of 86.5 SPS after subtracting the entry fees. Not a lot while SPS is only 5 or 6 cents, but every little bit helps and I'm still confident that SPS will somedy be worth a lot more.

Rewards this season were much improved over previous seasons thanks to the new reward system. Highlights would be the three Gold Foil cards I received (2 Rare and 1 common) and the 2 Legendary cards I received. Both of these Legendary cards were the newly introduced reward cards. The first was The Jared Scar card, a melee card with a lot of power but a glass jaw from the looks of it. The second Legendary card was Countess Sinash. Countess Sinash looks to be pretty powerful to start out, but really becomes a powerhouse when you get it leveled up.

Of course, the DEC rewards were significantly higher than previous seasons. But once again, the Splinterlands RNG had a little fun with me when I opened my end of season chests. Since I was opening 73 Diamond chests, I expected a lot more DEC than I received.

🟣 Rental Report

I've heard a lot of complaints this season that rental income is way down, so I was a little surprised to see that my rental income only dropped by about 18%.

⭐ SPS Report

The prices of SPS and Vouchers continues to crash along with the rest of the Crypto market and the economy as a whole. Thanks Biden!

Overall, I'm very happy with the new reward system. I'm learning a few things and trying to do a few things differently to improve my season rewards. There is also talk of new focus changes which I'll need to adapt to in the future. Fun times, learning new stuff and experimenting with different techniques.
