# Splinter Stats Ranked Rewards Season 3 Report Card

@gregory-f

We've now finished the third season under the new rewards system and so it's time to look back and see how I performed and compare this season to the past two.

To start with, I managed to make it to Diamond 1 league this season compared to Diamond 2 last season. But the interesting thing is that I made the higher league and rank this season while playing approximately 100 less matches! I think one of the reasons I made the higher rank is because my win/loss ratio was considerably higher this season at 1.19 vs 0.94 last season. So even though I won 29 fewer matches (and earned fewer reward chests), I was losing far fewer matches as well.

As for rewards, overall, they were much less this season. Across the board, every category of rewards was less than last season with a few exceptions. For example, I received 7 more standard foil Rare cards this season, but they are going for 1-2 cents each, so nothing to get excited about there. Everything else was down this season. Packs, DEC, high rarity gold foil cards, all less than last season.

Rentals held up well this season. My Net rental income was only down 698 DEC from last season. Now that rentals are once again picking up, I need to spend some time and relist some of my unused cards.

⭐ SPS Report

I'm surprised to see that my Net SPS this season is down 1050 SPS from last season. Both airdrop amount and staking rewards were down this season. I wonder if this season was shorter in length than the previous season? Otherwise, I can't explain the drop.

Voucher drops were also down this season. And while I expect a slight decrease due to Node sales reducing my share of the reward pool, it shouldn't have been this large a drop. That's it, I'm going with the shorter season length this season as the culprit for reduced SPS and vouchers. Glad I got that figured out!

At the last Town Hall, Yaba said that he was working on replacing DEC rewards with SPS. That means our chances of earning DEC is coming to an end (maybe as soon as next month). After the switch, one of the only ways to get DEC will be by burning cards, which is an incredibly bad idea as anyone who saw card prices shoot up last summer can attest to. I will have to be pretty desperate indeed before I will ever consider burning any of my cards ever again.

Meanwhile, DEC will still be needed for Guild Buildings and if I remember correctly, to make improvements to Land (if that ever gets released!). So, based on that information, it's obvious, I need to get to work and earn all the DEC I can in the next few weeks before it goes away. Time is running out!
