The simple phrase "I love you" is often used by people when they want to let others know their profound affection towards them. A statement often used but least practicalised or demonstrated.

Do people really mean it when they confess that they love another?
When it comes to love the one who truly understands it and shows it so well is God. God is love and when you find God you have found love. For God so love the world that he gave his only son that whosoever shall believe on him will not perish but have everlasting life John 3:16.
It is easier telling people that you love them but it is harder when it comes to demontrating it.
Can you give up everything you have toiled for just to save the one you claim you love?
Will you give up your life for the one you say you love
Someone will say yes and will give it a try but not everyone could do such a thing. According the bible It is very uncommon for someone to die for another even if that person is so important or a good person. Perhaps some will be brave enough to die for another person they truly love or care about.
For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet perhaps for a good man some would even dare to die. But God demonstrates his love for us by the fact that the Messiah died for us while we were still sinners. Romans 5:7-8
God's love for us is exceptional, His love is agape, a love that doesn't base on condition. It was only God who could sacrifice His only son, in order words Himself for humanity.
For God so love the world that he gave his only son that whoever shall believe on him will not perish but have everlasting life John 3:16
He didn't just loved us but went forth to demonstrate that love: But God demonstrates his love for us by the fact that the Messiah died for us while we were still sinners...Romans 5:8
This is how we know that God truly loves us. He gave us something precious in exchange for our souls. He gave us the Messiah to die for our sins while we were yet sinners.
He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? Romans 8:32
If Go didn't refused sacrificing His only son when we needed redemption, how then will he will withhold any good thing from us?
The fact that you have gone through trials, difficulties or hardships in life does not make God a mean God. Hard times may come but it shouldn't make us doubt the kind of love God has for us.
As loving as He is, He has promised to be with is when we pass through the waters, when we walk through the rivers and when we walk through the fire.. Isaiah 43:2
God wants us to also demonstrate His love
How will people know the love of God if we don't show it or demontrate it. God's love has already been shared abroad in our heart by the Holy Spirit according to Romans 5:5, this means we can also love our neighbours as God loved us.

We will be hypocrites or liars and will be deceiving ourselves if we claim we love God yet hate our neighbours. We should not just love in words but in deed.
We should prove to the world that greater love has no man except the love of Christ. The world will get to know that God is love when we show that love through in deeds.
My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed 1 John 3:18
- We should help a brother in need.
God gave out something of value to us when He confessed his love for us. This was the time when we needed salvation. Likewise we must also help our brother who is also in need.

Whoever has earthly possessions and notices a brother in need and yet withholds his compassion from him, how can the love of God be present in him? 1 John 3:17
- Again we should not hate our brother.
Relationship matters to God. God wants us to live peacefully with our brothers, He wants us to love them. Ain't we hypocrites when we claim we love a God we can't see yet hate a brother we see. Our love for our brothers shows that we love God. This means we hate God when we hate our brothers.

We love him, because he first loved us. If a man says, I love God, and hates his brother, he is a liar: for he that loves not his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen? And this commandment have we from him, That he who loves God love his brother also. 1John 4:19-21
- We also show how much we love God when we obey His word.
People always obey the their love ones and if we say we love God and yet disobey His commands how can that be love? The one who demonstrated God's love always obeyed him and did what pleases Him.
And he that sent me is with me: the Father has not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him. John 8:29

Jesus was always a doer of the things that pleased God. He did so to prove how much he loved his father and commanded us to do same:
If you love me obey my commandments. John 14:15
The world will only see God's love from how we love one another, let us show God's love. God bless us all.
God greatness has always been found in the Love he has for mankind with the love of God in man sin will not be anything to talk about..

The love of God is unconditional because love is the embodiment of God. God is defined by love and only He can love us the way we want to be loved. Thanks @collinz
Good to see you, thanks for reading @henryyeboah

God demonstrated His love for us by giving us His only begotten son to die for our sins.
Jesus also demonstrated His love by given His life.
We need to show the same love to God and others through our deed
Well said, thank you
