Headlines..Pentagon Has ‘Off World Vehicles Not Made On This Earth’

in #story4 years ago (edited)

What? As if 2020 wasn’t already weird enough this story has just began to break within the last twenty-four hours. Time will tell if and how much truth they will release to the public. All I can say is it's about damn time.

Maybe the powers that be figure if we can handle everything that’s been thrown at us this year up to this point it’s the perfect time to spill the beans. I think a whole lot of people that have been labeled conspiracy theorists will eventually be proven right on this.

It’s so arrogant to think we’re alone in this vast universe. Who among us hasn't seen/experienced something that falls within the UFO/ET realm or knows someone who claims they have? This is a very widespread phenomena but people are still hesitant/afraid to share their stories.

Needless to say I'm a believer. There was a lot of UFO activity in central Ohio when I was growing up in the 70’s and 80’s and I had a few very strange experiences myself. Throughout the years I’ve woven some of the bits and pieces of these memories into my science fiction writing. As a matter fact, some of these experiences appear in my novel, Alarm Clock Dawn.

Have any of you seen or experienced anything UFO/ET-related yourself? If you’re comfortable sharing, I’d be very interested to hear in the comments below. Imagine all we could learn if people were encouraged to tell their stories. If nothing else, it might finally force our species to set aside their petty differences and view each other as branches of the same (albeit very dysfunctional) family. Truth be told, this could be what scares the people in power the most.

I’ll end this section with an interesting quote from another Ohioan, Eddie Rickenbacker.

“Flying saucers are real. Too many good men have seen them, that don’t have hallucinations.” - Captain Eddie Rickenbacker. World War I air ace.

Mindful Moments: Perfecting The Pause - Book Update

I’m close to needing bifocals and I think this project is going to push these middle-aged eyes of mine over the edge. It’s definitely crunch time and has been a very busy week in regard to the book. I’ve spent each day this week crafting the manuscript, it’ll remain my main focus over the next few weeks.

Most of the front matter (note from the author, prologue, etc.) is drafted. I like to do this before the final versions of the chapters because writing the front matter gives me more ideas about how I want to fine-tune the manuscript. Over the next few weeks I’ll be revising the chapters and getting them as polished as possible in preparation for releasing them as a series of posts here on Hive. I hope to get the same feedback in the post comments as I’d get from a beta reader group so feel free to pick those posts apart when I publish them. I’ll be choosing the most helpful comments/feedback and the winners will receive an autographed copy of the new book once it’s published later this fall.

I’ve also been in contact with the book designer and illustrator to make sure our schedules are all synching up for a fall book launch. The next thing will be to come up with ideas for the cover. I want Mindful Moments to be a companion to the Perfect Pause so I’d like the two to compliment one another visually.

Thanks again for the subtitle idea @bozz, I’m going with it! You’ll get a free copy of the book as a thank you.

Pandemic Woes

This past Thursday our governor announced a mask mandate. Starting today masks must be worn in public here in Minnesota anywhere indoors until further notice. Our new infection rates continue to climb and if this trend continues I think another full lock-down is pretty much inevitable. I assume the rest of the large cities here in the U.S. will follow suit. It’s going to be an interesting autumn to be sure.

Crime continues its upward trend here in the Twin Cities as well. Robberies and carjackings are increasing exponentially in our neighborhood and, according to victim accounts, police aren’t being as helpful as they should be.

We saw a disturbing report last week of a young man who was robbed at gunpoint by a group of teens then kidnapped in downtown St. Paul. The assailants found his address on his driver’s license and took him to his house where they stole his valuables.

It's getting to the point where we no longer feel safe walking our beagle, Amstel, long distances after dark and are carrying pepper spray all the time. It’s a very unsettling feeling to feel this unsafe in your own neighborhood, especially with everything else going on. Maybe It’s the right time to leave this city? Maybe all this madness will fade away as we get closer to winter? Only time will tell.

I hoped to be able to post some Random Shots again this week but my iPhone isn’t cooperating. I’m getting the dreaded Storage Full error (which always seems to happen just prior to a new iPhone launch). It may actually be time to replace this four year old phone. The iPhone 9 is such a great value right now but I may hold out until the 12 is released just to see if it will be worth getting for the new features.

That’s all for now. I hope you all enjoy your weekends!

With Gratitude,

Eric Vance Walton

I have never had any experience with aliens, but like you I think it would be too selfish of us to think that we are the only ones in this universe!
Just like in your city, in my city they have decreed a stricter quarantine: zero transportation, shops open until 12 o'clock and no children outside your home. I think this is going to be a long one!
My eyes are also asking for new glasses because the ones I have are already out of date! Being in front of the computer makes my myopia worse every day. ;)
Thanks for this varied and interesting news, Eric! A good way to stay informed. Greetings to you and the family

It would be so interesting to have open contact with other species that are millions, maybe billions, of years older than us. There would be so much to learn. Your lock-down measures are ahead of us once again. I expect a return to the full quarantine in the next few weeks if the mask mandate doesn't bring the new infection rate numbers down. I got Lasik surgery a few years ago so, thankfully, I'll just need the reading glasses when the time comes. Thanks for the comment, Nancy! I hope you and your family enjoy what's left of the weekend.

How are you dear friend @ericvancewalton good night
44 years ago, at that time I was 8 years old, we were playing with some friends on the sidewalk of my house, out of nowhere, and a hundred meters away from us a brightly colored sphere appeared, landed for a few seconds, when we tried to get closer in a way veils back to heaven, we were five friends playing and we all saw each other.
Days later it was national news, in many parts of Argentina the same could be seen.
We are certainly not alone.
Here is a province called Cordoba, which has a lot of activity, if you are interested you can read on the Cerro Uritorco website
Have a splendid sunday

Wow, that would have been incredible to see! Can you remember what colors it emitted? Did you notice any changes to yourself after the experience? I have a friend here in Minnesota who had the exact same thing happen. Him and his older brother were playing on their back porch. I think my friend was around 7 years old, his brother was 10 or so. He said this glowing red orb dropped from the sky and hovered about 3 feet from the ground for a few minutes. His brother was scared and pushed him down to the ground fearing it would harm them. After a while they got the courage to look over the porch railing and it shot straight up into the sky, just as you described. I'll take a look at that website. Thanks for sharing your story. Have a wonderful Sunday!

The stories of this type of thing are very similar
This event was a summer afternoon, the sun had already gone down, this sphere was very bright, silver in color and glinted with gold, all the boys in the neighborhood saw them, as usual the elders did not believe, after a few days being news they had no choice but to believe our word.
I take the opportunity to wish you a prosperous week dear friend @ericvancewalton

Yes, very similar. It's amazing more people don't share these experiences. Thank you and I hope you have a good week as well!

40-some years ago, three of us saw something. All agreed that it moved fast and erratically but no two descriptions of what it looked like were remotely similar. I lost track of the two other guys so can’t compare recollections.

There seems to have been an awful lot of activity during that timeframe. The only sightings I’ve had up here were when camping near Grand Marais, MN in the late 90’s. There’s very little light pollution there, as you know. We watched several points of light in the atmosphere move quickly and very erratically. It’s almost as if they were pilots in training. We watched, mesmerized, for about a half an hour before they left our field of vision.
