🙌🏽Sublime Sunday🙌🏽 by @c0ff33a & Travel Diaries - Time with Friends and the Village Life on a Rainy Day

in #sublimesunday4 years ago (edited)

This is one of our yearly ritual, where me and my friends make this 2 days visit to our 8 Temples which are spread across in 2 different cities in a total almost of 800 Kms.
It is a religious cum pleasure trip. Now that I am shifted to Muscat in the last 5 years all the more I look forward to this one as this is a good chance to spend time with my friends who I miss a lot when I am back to Muscat.

We normally start this by early morning by 6 on a Saturday and then visit the 4 temples which are in our Mumbai city itself, after that we drive out of the city to move ahead to the other temples in the other city. It is a lot of fun on this trip. We normally take one big car and all of us try to fit into it. Last time we were 10 of us in one car and yes though it got a bit cramped up but it was still fun as all of us were together.

This was on our last trip when it was raining also and we had some amazing time. The best part of this trip is that while the majority of the temples are in the 2 main cities but there are 2 temples which are in the villages between these 2 cities, and we always take our Saturday night halt in one of the village. Ohh I tell you the life is so different there, it is like you feel you have gone back by 50 to 60 years in time.
But it's such a wonderful break away from the city life. All we do is eat and drink and yes visit the temple also in the day time :-)

Here we start our trip on a Saturday morning. You see how 10 of us have fitted in 1 car. We love doing this, though uncomfortable it is the best part of the trip. Yes but if we are more then this then we do take another car and then spread out, but normally we are less then 10.

On the way we take a halt.

After finishing the 2 main city temples, which normally completes by late evening, we then head towards the village where we take our night halt and then the following Sunday we spend our time there just in leisure. At night time we get out for a drive in the village.

Some of the village pictures. The houses here are very old, some of them more then 100 years. A lot of houses are now closed and have almost become like ruins. The village is divided in 2 parts one is this temple side, where normally the houses are very old and not many people live in this area. Though there are many small hotels for overnight stay as people normally come to visit the temple and then drive back.

Look at the condition of most of these houses. You will see how old they are

This is a Beach side village, though the beach here is not very well maintained so hardly anyone goes there.

I thought of this trip of our last year, because this is the month we normally plan it out and sadly this year we will not be able to make it. As of now looks bleak but let's see if we can do it in the coming months. But then once the flight starts so I will be gone so I think this year I am going to miss it out.

Life gets beautiful just with these moments. I always look forward to spending time with my friends. They are life long sweet memories.

Thank you for visiting my blog. 👼🏻👼🏻💖💖🌹🌺🌸

gone back by 50 to 60 years in time

May be that is why they are happier than us 😁

Very right, life is still so simple out there, no complications

Always nice to have good time with friends. Those memories are hard to forget. They will forever be cherished.

I love that photo of village women chatting. It would make a nice artwork.
Have a nice day.

True, they are life time memories.
Thank you for the compliments
Wish you too a wonderful day

Good to see your feedback.
Stay strong.

Yeah it feels great to spend time with our loved one.
Yes I know village life is so different from cities. I think both are good in its own way. But as I am from village I'd like to prefer living in a village 😃

Yes, I do enjoy but for a shorter period. But I guess if you are settled then you have things to do and once you are occupied life becomes different. Just going for a short holiday then it gets boring after a while

Yeah it becomes boring if we have nothing to do. But we have many things to do such as looking after cows, raising chickens, ploughing and flattening the paddy field with oxen etc. And after all ,reading books to get a good job😀

Haha...I like that, Reading books to get a job, well I thought reading books was to gain knowledge :p

😂yeah reading books to gain knowledge and by using that knowledge get a useful job. Just skipped the middle part. But ultimately these two things are interlinked 😂

This reminds me of my yearly visit to the Tripathi temple (the hike)

Every year during November or December a visit to this place. It's something I enjoy very much. The 9km walk throughout the night is refreshing for a office bug like me.

And feeding the deers is a blissful moment too.
Missing it really.
Sorry for the bad picture quality because I was catching some air after 4KM climb.

Wow 9kms walk, that's really something. Thanx for sharing your story and pictures

It's great to have good friends with whom you can travel. Especially if there are interesting interlocutors who can support the dialogue. Your publications always attract me with their informativeness and vitality. I want to thank you so much for the high-quality and informative content. I wish you success and good health.

Thank you for your good words. Glad you liked my work
