TAH Releases Countdown and Artist Reviews

in #tahrecords3 years ago

Once each week or two, my plan is to post a review of two tracks and artists that will be on the upcoming TAH Records releases, along with announcements of any other news or development. These posts will eventually reveal the full tracklist of Thru the Clouds of Smoke, which will be the first full LP release on TAH and a compilation full of amazing tracks and artists. The cover art will also be revealed along the way, as well as a short promo video (once that is made!). After all of that hype, pre-orders should then be ready!

SO LET'S GET THIS PARTY STARTED.

As mentioned in our previous post, release TAH-003 will be the second 7" release on TAH, and is a split 7" between United Duality and Double Eagle. There is already a prototype for the sleeve, with massive design assistance from @theturtleproject, here's a snap:

Both tracks were in our previous post, although the United Duality tracks is so great it needs to be posted TWICE:

Cheer Up is from United Duality's brilliant album "Enlightening Snapshots":

It's a fantastic listen and fun ride from start to finish. It's streaming on all of the places (including lots of the tracks at Atom Collector Records, where I first heard a lot of them!). You can also get it on CD, which can be easily ordered in Europe! There are a lot of fantastic tracks on the album. The first track Heimat sets the tone of the album as a fascinating journey, and is somehow both traditional and psychedelic:

In case you haven't noticed, TAH Records is a big United Duality fan, and we think you should check out all of their stuff.

Double Eagle's b-side Qualms with That is actually a bit of a sequel to a much older Double Eagle tune called No Qualms, which was recorded several decades ago. Qualms with That was recorded during Double Eagle's second 2020 recording session that turned into the SoundCloud album Double 20 Doubled Down (and the Thurman's Kitchen EP):

This track has now been remastered for the 7", and now both tracks for the single have been mastered for vinyl. Very close to sending this one for the vinyl pressing order!

If those aren't things to get you excited about the next 7" release on TAH Records, then I don't know what to do for you!!!

In other TAH Records news, our distribution through Jib Machine Records (see https://www.jibdistro.com/) is starting to happen. You can now find Double Eagle's New Year's release COVID 20/20 on iTunes, Amazon, Spotify, Pandora, and probably some other places, courtesy of JMR. So tell your Alexa to play it!

Thanks for reading and following DE and TAH!!
