Hey there fellow Steemians, Kinbombi Falls was our next exciting destination after the Parkes Radio Telescope. (The Dish)
From Parkes we made our way north and stayed two nights at Armidale Showground. Pouring rain the whole time we were there!
As soon as the weather cleared up we continued our journey north and landed late next afternoon at Warwick. We found a tiny Caravan Park and stayed the night, making the most of the hot showers and washing machines :) before setting off again, you guessed it, north! We were making our way to Queensland, for the warmth, as quick as we could!

Sooooo......That then led us up to Kinbombi Falls, yay.. a free camp! The previous three nights were one of the few we had to pay for.. We spent less than $500 in 2 years for accommodation!

This great camp was awesome to explore with multiple bush walking tracks..some quite scary though, I didn't brave the steep ones Hubby and my son did. Some of these pics are complimentary from them.

This fella is the resident Bush Chook aka Scrub turkey. He likes to hang around the camps :)

Our dog wasn't too keen on him though :)

A few more pics of this beautiful camp site.

Just at the very top you can make out the rail for the stairs..No way was I climbing down the stairs like the fellas did!

We had a great time here, but bringing your own water is essential! And being a free camp, it only had the customary 'Pit Toilet' (Drop toilet) which thankfully our little girls were quickly getting used to :)

Unfortunately, this camp, as with most we stay at, had the customary residential snake..

We tend to see the browns, blacks and tigers, so not sure what this fella is? But we are always on the look out for them, and have one ear on the bush at all times!

Well I have probably bored you enough, so see ya for now, and feel free to stay tuned for our next instalment #4 Wuruma Dam ~ Catching Red Claw.

Cheers for looking, Darlene @dardi

For those that missed my first 2 instalments :)

Wow the waterfalls are stunning! That is fantastic that you managed to find free camp site too! x

They were gorgeous.. Thankfully there are many free camp sites around, and we are set up to free camp for a week :)

That's so good you are definitely saving on the rent there and getting great views :)!

Great pics Dardi and welcome to Team Australia - upvoted and resteemed. @sirknight posting as TA

Cheers mate, thankyou for having me..I am feeling chuffed.. This is my first post to be resteemed :)

Those falls are (almost) out of this world fantastic Darlene.

Maybe the snake is a green snake? If so it's one of the harmless ones. But green snakes are quite a bright green, so may not be one.

And bush turkeys: Becoming part of the suburban scape where I live in Sydney. So freaky to see them walking down the road in the middle of the suburbs.

Thankyou Alison, the falls were beautiful. The whole bush camp site was wonderful. I normally take the pics, but Hubby did well this time I thought :)

I am from only over the hill from you in Bathurst, we don't have green snakes or scrub turkeys wandering around, but I got a giggle picturing them walking around the city streets hehe
