❗❕❗Russian-Ukrainian war🔥My survival story🖤🔥MARIUPOL🔥Part VI

in #teamukraine2 years ago

Hello to everyone who reads my blog and my story. 😎🖤🔥

So! Today I will tell you how we got to Berdyansk.
Because of the dangers on the road, we did not dare to go through Zaporozhye from Mariupol. Fights were fought there, shells were flying, there were cases when columns of cars were fired upon.
Therefore, we decided to go to Berdyansk.

The car convoy was even larger than the one we encountered in Mangush.
We stood in line for 14 hours. The cars were moving very slowly. It was cold, it was uncomfortable to sit, because they took blankets, food and a can of gasoline with them.
It was scary that the military would not take this canister. Because they checked everything.
The Russian military often asked for cigarettes and some food.

The queue was long, we saw some people walking along the road. This could mean:

  1. They took away the car;
  2. The car broke down (and there were a lot of beaten cars after Mariupol);
  3. Gasoline ran out (by that time gasoline was in excess).

I didn’t want to eat, I didn’t want to go to the toilet (and there was nowhere, there was a convoy of cars and there were signs “Mined” along the road.
The column to Berdyansk moved very slowly. During this time, "Mr. S." I started looking for an apartment where we could stay while we were in Berdyansk.
There were many groups on the Internet helping refugees. There were offers with apartments, but it was necessary to act quickly. Friends said that a large number of people had come to Berdyansk and there was simply no place to find.
But we were lucky. We called two families.

One of the families then called and said: "Sorry, but our relatives are going to Berdyansk, we will give the apartment to them. We hope you are not offended."
We understood everything, now such a situation. There is a second family left. They warned that the apartment is new so there are no beds or sofas. But there was electricity and water. But we didn't care, as long as we could finally sleep and take a shower.
Finally, our car drove up to the checkpoint. There were Russian soldiers standing there, they must have been from Kazakhstan, as they had narrow eyes. Several military men were sitting at the table and writing down something.
They asked their godfather and "Mr. S." to come out. from the car and called them to the table.
Mom and I were in the car. One soldier approached the car, leaned over and asked: "Where do the men work? Did they serve?"
Then he asked how the situation in Mariupol was. Honestly? This question was killing me. As if they did not know that Mariupol is dead! Only ruins remain.

When the men returned, we were let through. We were allowed to go to the city. It was a victory.

The military at the table wrote down the numbers of the cars, the names of the men.

I remember Berdyansk differently than the one we arrived at. For me, Berdyansk is a resort town in Ukraine, where it is always fun, people rush to the beach, fishermen catch fish and sell it.
The stores have a lot of goods, everything works.
But we were met by another city. We did not immediately understand this, the first thing we did was go to the family who agreed to shelter us.

As soon as we entered the city, we recruited a family. They were already waiting for us.
We were given an address and told where to go. It was not difficult, everything was clear.
When we arrived at the address, the father of this family was waiting for us. His name was Nikolay. He saw that we did not have a rear window. And he said, "Let's unload all the stuff, and then we'll put your car in our garage, and I'll leave my car on the street. I don't want you to have something stolen."
Gasoline was the most valuable, at that time there was almost no gasoline left in Berdyansk. There were many announcements, people offered unrealistic amounts for a can of gasoline. Someone wrote that he was ready to buy gasoline for $1,000. It's wild! But it was true, people wanted to go further from Berdyansk and there were reasons for this.

But I will continue the story!
We unloaded all things, raised them to the apartment. Nikolai's wife was waiting for us there, her name was Angelina. Their youngest son, Maxim, immediately came to us.
They all smiled, were glad that we arrived, they were so kind and open.
This touched and surprised us. We were not prepared to be so lucky.

Phew, I'm sorry, but I'll continue talking tomorrow. Very tired.
Today I bought myself a table on eBay, this is my small victory. I didn't have a normal job for a month. My back hurt, but I didn’t want to do anything, I was at a loss and didn’t know what I wanted. But this month, the love of life returned. And there was inspiration.

That's why I'm happy in the photo. I really wanted my place, my little corner.
I fell in love with this table.
I really miss my apartment, I had a table on the whole wall there.

BUT! Now this is the start of something new. 😇

I'm new to your blog, who's in your close fellowship?

One Hell of a ride you took there.

It was one hell of a ride.
I hope I did not disappoint you and soon I will be able to please you with good stories.

I found you from @fiatgirl reblogging, and I will too.
Bless you through your struggles. Tears are just rolling down my face for your ability to have even just a glimmer of hope in this time.
Thank you so much for sharing. Please don't stop ...

Thank you very much for reading my story.
Once I created this blog to talk about my work at the Art Center and about my paintings. But now I don't have my paintings and my work. But there was a need to tell what had accumulated in the soul and heart during these months.

It's a little like a black hole in my heart, when I lost my work many years ago due to a tragedy.
The tragedy is compounded with the pain of losing home and way of life. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your people, your family, your community and country.
When you feel alone, just know that there are so many of us who truly want you to succeed and flourish.

Thanks a lot. Tragedies make us stronger. I really didn't want to change everything in my life this way.

Thanks for reblogging. I was also touched by the story.

Thanks, I didn't think so many people would be interested in my story.

That’s one hell of an experience

Yes you are right. I hope that this experience will help me in life, but I don’t know how yet.

I really have mixed feeling when reading your story. It makes me very sad to see that people have to leave their homes to be safe. Just because some evil people want to go to war. But on the other hand I'm happy to read that you found a safe place. There are still good people on this crazy planet who're willing to help each other. That gives me hope for humanity. Take care!

Yes you are right. I didn't expect to meet many good people along the way.
But even when I was in Mariupol, there were explosions around, houses were burning ... in a dusty, dark shelter, I met many good people. And even in this hell there were funny stories and everyone tried to joke and smile. Even though it was difficult.

Hi, I found your articles in the reblog by @fiatgirl and I'm speachless when I read your story! What a story, and I feel so sad when you see what a war can do in this crazy world! Take care!

Thank you very much, the story is still going on and if you don't mind, I will share with you a part of my life.

I look forward to read the sequels!

I am glad that finally you found the place where you can inhale the fresh air of peace. The scary image of military gave me fear too. It was nit an easy to leave burning home with only having hope.

The courtesy of people who cooperated with you is amazing.
Finally you are back to new life☺

I have not yet returned to a new life, the story continues. 😊
But I hope everything goes well)
