Time to Be Seen

I normally don't post wall-of-text memes but this one has to sound like a stiff talking-to. I am not sure this conversation needs to wait until midlife but that would be as good a time as any. Can't you just imagine a strong trusted voice gripping you by the shoulders gently but firmly, telling you true words that are not always easy to hear. I am just mildly offended my algorithm fed me something with midlife in the first 3 words.

Pretending and performing. Coping mechanisms. How much time it takes to identify and peel these away is most likely different for everyone. Why not start now so that you have a head start on when the universe grabs you by the shoulders? Be seen now!

I am known to lay the Canadian rock on thick and encourage you to Fight the Good Fight every moment. Every minute. Every day.

The Shadow Knows

Another creditless sentiment that may be more of a fact than an observation? Either way, I love the concept of a shadow.

I thought about this one for a while. I used to think about blocking raindrops from the reaching the earth. Never really pondered the concept of doing the same thing with the sunlight. So, I interfere with the 2 things that give life to the earth. Morbidly empowering isn't it?

Not like there is anything we can do about it. Perhaps the shade we provide is of the lifesaving? Not likely as a human. Might as well revel in our cosmic power and cast those shadows as our right as we exist boldly and heroically!
