This is the second week in a row I am sharing a big wall of text. I was just hooked with the first statement, and agreed with everything til about half way through when I thought the point was made. The rest has what some people need to hear and this is the sort of tough love my soul barks at me when I think I have it tough.

I am not sure it is as cut-and-dried as simply deciding to stop worrying what people might think. If it were, who wouldn't want to dance, sing, laugh, find our inner artist, and be our selves? Whether or not that is the case, people who mock, don't like, and sabotage us definitely need to stop living rent free in our minds. That is a series of decisions I suppose.
Either way, not having the opinions of others not bother us that much, perhaps more every day, seems to be a good direction in which to travel.
Everyone has heard this song but it is a good reminder.

This is true, most of people have the ability to correct the conditions of his life, but he is quickly affected by failure in the first experience with the ridicule of others.
REalizing that other people are either going through their own crap. or are simply assholes, makes it easy not to internalize their criticism.
You win or you learn so take the best from every success or failure...there will be no shortage of them if you are living life.
