In many cases, taking photos of the inside of Buddhist hall tended to be banned in religious reason. May be, the worship or the ritual might be disturbed by taking pics.
So it was a good chance for me to take pics of the inside of this hall. Interesting things in this Dae Wung Jeon Hall were the appearances at the very last part of the ornaments and the dragons.
Dragons inside of the hall could not be special, because there were many dragons inside of Buddhist halls. Special point was the size of the hall. In my memory, it seemed not so common to make dragons in this small size of the hall.
The appearances at the very last part of the ornaments were very impressive, because it looked like the heads of phenix.
Buddha statues were sitting in the center of the Hall with splendid and various colors.
Dae Wung Jeon of this tempe was not a large one but had a perfect one.
@slowwalker,
Most of historical places, specially arts like your country also, is banned from photography! They said flashing is the problem and it makes issues to the ancient artworks. But honestly I don't believe it, coz sometimes they are using small flash lights inside of those halls that could make more impact than a photography flashing!
Anyway it's great to see you could take photography of this hall!
Cheers~
Hi @slowwalker
they are beautiful to see the pictures
I must say that Buddist Hall is very colorful! This is still part of the Choson dynasty Architecture, yes?
It is a very small area dedicated to dragons and Phoenix. I am sure you had a splendid time and the pictures came out delightful!Thank you for sharing them with us.

A very colourful Buddhist hall, @slowwalker.
It is unusual to see such elaborate ornamentation in such a tiny space but one must be careful not to despise the day of small things.
There's an old Zen saying I'm sure you know, "Do not become so accustomed to images that you are dismayed by the true dragon."
These dragons that we meet in halls and caves are metaphors for ourselves and despite the colourful ornamentation we are struck with wonder and terror at encountering such presences.
That is the basis of all guardian entities, my friend.
Have a good day, @slowwalker :)
Dae Wung Jeon of Baek Ryeon Sa in Gang Jin of Jellanamdo Province of inside really fantastic. And these are very pretty photography.I feel so much good

@slowwalker, Inside of Dae Wung Jeon hall pretty adorable. You captured inside hall brilliantly under the banned condition for photography. It was really important occasion for see every steemians. Attractive ornaments I see from top of the ceiling. Dragons seemed everywhere. Buddha statues reminded Sri Lankan temples. Looks same like Sri Lanka. Is these are gold or gold plated?
Beautiful! I want to be there someday.
this hall is look like our life. full of color and when I saw the ornament is look like will tease our head. as they will welcome us
