Winter Russian fun
I managed to attend one interesting event. This is a fair in a small Russian town on the Volga. A fair is always a celebration. Moreover, the holiday is cheerful with a characteristic Russian flavor.
At this fair, which I was lucky to visit, I saw a lot of interesting things. The first thing, of course, is the fair trade itself. Here you could buy a lot of interesting items of Russian national crafts. Products from clay, wood, metal. Different dolls, teapots, clay dishes. Antiques were also presented. I saw a lot of samovars and other antique utensils.
In addition, there were many forest gifts on sale. Berries and meat of forest game animals.
Since we are talking about food, I would like to note interesting and delicious food at the fair. In large cauldrons there are prepared a lot of different delicious food. Barbecue is being fried nearby. Hot tea is poured somewhere, and somewhere it is treated to soldier's porridge with meat. I treated myself to Georgian food.
In different parts of the fair, I saw a lot of interesting things. Firstly, it is horseback riding, sleigh rides, dog sledding.
Secondly, various swing-carousels and other pleasures for children.
Thirdly, the ringing of bells. Here and there, small belfries were installed and everyone was taught the basics of bell ringing.
In addition to various pleasures, sports were also organized. First of all, running. A route was laid around the fair and the athletes fled their distance. It was interesting to watch them.
On the territory of the fair itself, places for great games were organized. This is fist fighting and ball game. In addition, a large snow fortress was built and in the end of the holiday two groups of young people had to come together in a battle for this fortification. Some must defend the fortress, others - to capture.
This is old Russian fun.
Throughout the day, various folk groups performed on several stages at the fair. They sang, danced and played folk musical instruments.
In a word, it was very cool!
