Vegan's ~ What are they?

Being a Vegan has been a tough subject for many but as I am getting older I am looking into alternative ways of life. I am pushed towards vegetarians being the problem as I look at the different lifestyles. They still eat meat in their own way, many tuna and eggs. My friend says it's anything that has eyes but milk and eggs are fine. That doesn't make any sense to me as a whole.

I'm looking for a vegan to explain the difference between a vegetarian and a vegan. My health isn't what it was and I may be in need of a new diet if it is pretty simple to follow unlike eggs and milk are okay to eat as a vegetarian.

Any takers?

I say everything is fine. But I am not vegan, nor vegetarian.
Meat is good for us. It is not only delicious, but it also improves brain function.

I (and many other people) like chicken and beef.

Humans are omnivores.

I'm a huge meat eater. I am just wondering about vegans today, lol. I'm a little stoned.

"Meat is good for us" weeeeeeel, it's not really like that. Especially not in the quantities westerns are currently eating. Only liking something doesn't mean it's good for you ;)

Vegetarians basically don't eat meat. No beef, no pork, no chicken, no fish etc. but they can use various animal products, like eggs, milk, honey. Sometimes used together with the describing word, like lacto-vegetarians use milk products, lacto-ovo-vegetarians use milk and eggs. But vegetarianism isn't as popular as it used to be, as veganism is on the rise.

Vegans don't use anything animal based. No meat, no eggs, no milk, no honey, no leather, no wool.. basically nothing which is made from animals or comes from animals.

I'm not a vegan or vegetarian myself, but still.. not sure if it'll help your health, but going to vegetarian and still eating milk and eggs could do good for you. It usually helps many people to feel better, but still getting B12 from animal products. Vegan diet requires often more planning to get a balanced diet.

Can I still have bread??

Yes, unless your bread is made of flesh.
