Temple in A Caves, Sri Valli Deivanai Murugan Temple

Having been to Batu Caves several times, there was something I had never done before, namely climbing the stairs to the top floor. Do you know why? Because I felt very tired when I saw there were too many stairs. wait, this time I tried to do it because I was really curious about what things I would see from my efforts to climb the stairs.

In the morning, it is quite cool, without many people, Batu Caves is a very peaceful place to visit. Because I was catching a flight in the afternoon, I deliberately spared a lot of time and woke up early so I could climb the stairs to see things I had never seen before.

Sri Valli Deivanai Murugan Temple

I came on Friday at 06.30 am, which was enough to make me very friendly with nature. The peaceful Batu caves also brought me peace because I could see them worshiping. There were several people praying very seriously when I was actually on the rock caves.

This is the Sri Valli Deivanai Murugan temple, a place dedicated to the god Murugan whose statue is the largest in front of the stairs leading to this temple. This is the only temple I have seen that is truly at one with nature because it is in a cave. Very cold and cool rock cave.

This temple is very large because it is located in a stone cave, almost the entire cave area is used as a temple. The stone cave is very cold and even has very high humidity, there is a lot of water dripping from the top of the cave even though it is not raining. This happens because the water in the rock is absorbed from the trees and nutrients at the top of the cave.

You can see that there is a temple that stands and was built from the size and statue of a Hindu god that is believed to be there. Temples have limits on visitors and worshipers alike. Note, you must wear very polite clothes to go inside.

There are several statues at different points. The presence of these statues makes this place even more religious. Even though you feel like you have climbed the existing stairs, you will also meet other steps to enter each part of this temple.

I was very amazed by several spots at the top of the temple which were truly natural parts of the cave. This place was not damaged at all, there were only a few places that were used as spots for them to worship. For me, this place is a very good tourist destination for us to reflect on ourselves to remember God.

It feels very blessed when we can see a blessed place too. What a wonderfull Batu Caves. Because I came in the morning, I felt a very good vibe here. Combining fresh and cold air, the blowing wind and the sounds of those worshiping. There were sounds of gongs being hit and melodious drums.

The lighting is right so that the religious element becomes more pronounced, with the sound of mantras and prayers being said. There are several people in the temple who are performing rituals, I want to take a picture but I'm afraid it would be bad if I spread it out because of privacy. I really maintain my attitude here to respect each other.

One thing you have to do is be careful in every step you take. Because this is a cave that is wet due to water droplets, you should wear comfortable and strong shoes so you don't slip. Many times I see some people slip up because of that.

Once again, I want to go back to Batu Caves if I come to Kuala Lumpur again.

See you the next time hive friends!

Never heard of a temple inside a cave, that's amazing! Makes it so unique from any other temple seen before, even if it was just virtually!

This really happens, there is a temple in the caves and it is really very unique, you can even easily go to reach it.

Woooooo 😍
