Hi guys!
Last week, I got commissioned a pretty awesome project for Masternode.one.
The owner, an old friend of mine, saw an animation that I did, and asked me if I could make something cool for Masternode.one. He gave me full freedom so I could lock myself up for a couple of days to make something cool.
I'm getting back into motion graphics, even though I have done a couple of projects here and there along the way, I've never been making use of my degree after graduation. So, after many years, I got myself a great GPU that allows me to work so much faster and more pleasant, I just had to pick it up again.
Even though there's so much to learn, I saw this as an opportunity to both learn, and get value for my time invested. Great deal if you'd ask me!
For this specific animation, I did a few renders with a variety in aspect ratio and style. I thought it would be great to have a light-mode and a dark-mode option, for whenever this animation is being put to use on their website. The only challenge that comes with it is that you have to fix the contrast between the 'main object' and the background. It was a bit of a search, but I think I got the perfect balance for these animation without losing the recognition that is so important for branding.
This process took me about 30-40 hours to create from start to finish, and I enjoyed every single minute of it! This was the first time, I was stress testing my brand-new NVIDIA GeForce 4080X3 Super Inno3d GPU, and it sounded like it was enjoying it to the maximum RPM fan-speed, lol. Rendering the frames overnight got me a bit excited, as I was monitoring the temperatures of the GPU. A temperature higher than 85 degrees for 10 hours straight would probably melt my entire work station to the ground. But you know what they say: No risk, no glory. Not that I should be too concerned, these GPU's are made to do this, but do I have to admit that I was a tad worried I messed up some (safety) settings, in both Blender and NVIDA.
Oh well, check out these renders! Let me know which one you prefer the most, and feel free to drop a comment, especially if you have questions regarding this project.
