RE: ADSactly Psychology - Resilience

in #adsactly6 years ago

I am studying medicine and surgery,a profession where you can get kicked out at anytime if you fail and trust me it is disturbing psychologically and emotionally. This article has opened my eyes not only to the difference between perseverance and resilence but to the fact that it is okay to fail once or twice, you dont have to beat yourself to it and when you fail, accept that you have failed, dont rush back in doing it the same way you did before, pause for a momemt and access yourself because it is not just about standing up again but standing up with the right attitude and my best part it develop a"personal why" to stay motivated. I absolutely found this very helpful!!!

Yes, @chukuibijenny, it's really about standing up again with the right attitude: the moment you take a deep breath to clear your head and ask "why." Giving up or accepting defeat is often not the way forward, or let me just say isn't the way forward. I'm glad it was helpful.
