Yotei

in #adventure3 years ago

Mount Yōtei or Yōtei-zan, literally "sheep-hoof mountain", has not erupted since circa 1050 BC. Due to its resemblance to the more famous Mount Fuji, it is often called Yezo Fuji or Ezo Fuji with "Ezo" being an old name for the island of Hokkaido. Hokkaido, Japan.

Impressive! "Sheep-hoof" mountain also sounds less common than a "horse-hoof" one, hehe :)

great picture sir! those earth landscapes are natural art!
greetings!

I spent way too long trying to work out the scale of this thing. It's kinda big, being a mountain and all XD

Sheep hoof eh, is that from resemblance that I can't see or because a lot of sheep have trodden here? :)

Yes its a big mountain ;-)

outstanding geometry found and captured here.
