Mountain climbing is a sport that I think is highly risky and adrenaline. In addition, climbing the mountain also makes our bodies become healthy due to the many movements of the body that burn fat and also make our bodies spend a lot of sweat generated by the energy we spend.

Edmund Hillary of New Zealand and Nepal's Tenzing Norgay managed to be on the highest peak of the world's highest mountain, Mount Everest on May 29, 1953. Both became the first climbers who managed to conquer the peak as high as 8.849 Meter above sea level. Since then, mountain climbing has become one of the most extreme sports favored by nature activists.

Turning to Indonesia, a massive movement took place at the University of Indonesia, on December 12, 1964 the nature activists from the University of Indonesia formed an organization engaged in the love of nature that until now known as MAPALA. The idea of forming a pioneer organization of nature lovers on campus was initiated by Soe Hok Gie (M-007-UI), a prominent student activist. Saturated with a situation full of intrigue and political conflict among students at that time, Soe Hok Gie proposed to form an organization that can be a forum for gathering various student groups.
