African-Renaissance #3: Handle the criticism well

in #african-renaissance6 years ago (edited)

African-Renaissance is the campaign to overcome the current challenges that Africans and continent in general, are confronting to achieve the cultural, scientific and economic rebirth.

The concept of African-Renaissance was first articulated by Cheikh Anta Diop in his series of essays collected in his book Towards the African Renaissance: Essays in Culture and Development, 1946-1960. It became popular thanks to the South African ex-president Thabo Mbeki.

From here I got an idea of sharing thoughts under African-Renaissance to just influence not only Africans but also people who want to rebirth with minds of winners (Brain metamorphosis).

All you need is getting the thoughts and use them to rethink by yourself.

The world is not perfect and it will never be. You can't live in this life alone and among people, there will be no criticism-free environment.

The problem is not being criticized nor the people who criticize you but your perception.

Most people when they get criticized they get angry at the level of fighting which solves nothing.

The above statement says that If you want to know how weak a man is CRITICIZE him.
When you criticize a weak man, he will be angry the whole day, quarreling, or discouraged while a strong man will move on and say "those are just opinions".

Being angry, discouraged,.. are not the automatic responses of the brain but your chosen perception about the situation.

My advice

Hope you're not weak and you don't enjoy to be weak, so you need a rebirth (renaissance) and come out with the new way of thinking, new way of perceiving and new capacities of handling criticism well.

  1. Happiness is just a choice, it's up to you to let criticisms steal your happiness or show your strength!
  2. Use your brain to get solutions not your muscles, fights are not the 1st solution nor the 2nd.
  3. I know this is not easy but when someone criticizes you just take it as an opportunity to show the world your 21st-century skills. Give him or her a good positive answer free of anger...
  4. Etc...
