I tend to agree, a group of us started a Bitcoin meetup about 10 years ago and lately our topics are AI related. Our focus is blockchain technology of course although we can’t help but discuss the rapid progress of AI.

No, I don't think blockchains are losing any momentum, people get distracted by news and AI has been on a rapid growth taking publicity away from other disruptive technology. I believe blockchain and AI will meld together at some point. Probably sooner than later!
Let's see. I think at this speed we never know what will be the next move.
