This would be around the time where he ran away from home at East St. Louis to play bebop music with Charlie Parker. I had purchased this photo booth photo from a dealer out of Burbank California. I know that bird and Miles Davis did play a series of shows in the west coast that was a, I think they called it. A failure didn’t catch on that well and they didn’t make money but I did inspire some West Coast musicians and later on bebop music would be successful in the West Coast . Miles Davis would go on to become one of the greatest jazz trumpeters in the history of jazz with such successes as kind of blue album, kind of blue or bitches brew or sketches of Spain.
