DMarket’s main token sale has been announced

Hey there Steemit readers!

As some of you might know I’m a gamer with many years experience (most probably not many of you know that). This year in August I made my first ICO investment and bought some DMarket’s tokens for ETH which I had in secret storage.
For now, I’m pretty confident I did a right choice by investing into the company I believe in.

Recently their CEO Volodymyr Panchenko announced the second and the main phase of their token sale that I’m going to support with my ETH again. It takes place on November 3d and holds through November 17th.

The token exchange rate will be 750 tokens for 1ETH. Minimum transaction amount is 0.1 ETH. I’m glad that I’ve got mine during their 4 days token sale on more attractive conditions – 1000 tokens for 1ETH. They do accept BTC, btw.

The company’s management says that the hard cap of the DMarket’s main token sale will reach 100 000 000 tokens (around $40 million). There will be no additional DMarket’s token sale after the end of the second phase.

I can imagine that the goal is doable as they raised almost 11 million during only 4 days of phase#1. So, 2 weeks are more than enough for reaching their hard cap I suppose.

Hope to see the alpha-version of the marketplace before the token sale, as it is important for me as for investor. Their roadmap promises that it’s gonna be October.

Why DMarket?

I know exactly why did I choose this guys for my investment. Being a gamer I clearly understand the value of the platform for the gaming world. They will make happy 1/3 of the world's population. That’s as much gamers as there exist in the globe (I know that the figures are terrifying but they are true).

As a specialist that deals with finance in my real non-virtual life, I do understand the value of DMarket tokens. Their quantity will be limited, their demand will grow faster than you can imagine when the gaming world will start using their platform. And trust me the world will. As there is no alternative marketplace that allows trading of any in-game item from any game, and in our virtual world it is a very important option to have. As you can play your favorite game and earn at the same time. It is much more fun than to sit in the office 24/7.

The new trillion economy

I was pleased to attend the World Blockchain Forum in London few days ago. I went there specifically to hear the speech of Mr. Panchenko, to meet him, and to interview him for Steemit (the interview is coming very soon).

In his speech, he has mentioned very interesting figures on the in-game items profit. According to him, the estimated in-game trading turnover is currently $4 billion, and it only works for a couple of games. The core issues that lock in-game item market development are technology and trading security. During every other trade, hundreds of thousands of databases of every game and every publisher have to be synchronized with each other. Besides, there is a risk of existence of the third party in the trading process. DMarket resolved both issues with the blockchain technology. By giving an opportunity to buy and sell in-game assets to all gamers globally, DMarket creates a new in-game item economy worth more than $450 billion.

I came to Mr. Panchenko to clarify how they are going to make half of trillion from $4 billion and he gave me an answer I’ve been very satisfied with. You may read it in my interview with the CEO & Founder of DMarket Volodymyr Panchenko next week.

It was a short teaser for upcoming article. Haha.

Cheers and see you soon!

I have been interested in this project as well, and did manage to invest in the initial phase. Tbh I truly hope DMarket will catch on and be widely adopted by the gaming community. The process of selling(specifically) ingame items is tedious to say the least. Cheers for the post, great read!

thanks man!
