Sunday: The Anarchapulco Launch Party

in #anarchapulco2 months ago

Sunday, there wasn't much to do until later in the day at Anarchapulco.
I worked the registration from 4 pm till 8 pm for the launch party that evening.

While there should have been around 300 people for that, only around 170 or so showed up. I guess not all VIPs felt called to join us on the first night.

It was cool being at the registration though, because I saw most people come in and was able to meet some of the speakers as they entered.
My proud moment of the day was putting a bracelet on David 'Avocado' Wolfe hahaha.
He is actually very nice. Surprising, because I was never too sure what to think of him.

For a little while it was getting really busy, but then before I knew it, it was 8 pm and time to check out the event.

We didn't leave too late as we were all tired, but we still got to meet some cool people and listen to the DJ.

Since we hadn't really eaten much since earlier in the day, I devoured some of the snacks they passed around. Then a waiter walked past with little bowls with cheviche...
I love that stuff!
This little voice in the back of my head told me not to. Another said it'd be OK. I should have listened to the first one!

We walked home and I was fine.
I decided to sit down and do some work, and about 10 minutes in, I started feeling really bad.
I took a shower and went to bed before 11pm.
Couldn't sleep, and when I finally did, I woke up again around 4 am.
Not a great start of the Anarchapulco week!

At least the youngstest had fun!

This looks like such a blast.

It sure was. Even though I was volunteering, I still had lots of time for meeting with people and that was really the most important thing.

right? thats what Im thinking.....I wanna be there!

I wish more Hiveans would have been there! I felt quite lonely talking about Hive haha. But it was cool. There were some pretty cool people there.
