Palmer Lucky, CEO of Anduril: Might Be My New Hero... Never Seen a Billionaire so Honest and Fourthcoming. They Make Killer Robots... This Guy is What Elon Musk Pretends to be..

in #anduril3 months ago

Palmer Lucky is the guy that started the Oculus Virtual Reality craze years ago.. After Mark Zuckerberg bought out his company for a bonkers amount of money, ultimately ending up in Palmer getting shitcanned from the company he founded, he moved on to create Anduril... A HIGHLY advanced defense contractor. This guy is 100% what I want to be when I grow up. Holy Shit.

The real life iron man has a pretty killer shag, speaks his mind and doesn't filter what is on his mind. I respect this man and his candid answers. Most billionaires have NOTHING I can feel connected to.. But this guy, he has that generalist tech genius mind and simply put is EXACTLY what I think the evolution of the defense industry looks like.

ANDURIL MAKES REALLY COOL STUFF

From the first unmanned jet fighter to autonomous loitering munitions, ISR / recon drones, submarine drones, rocket engines and a bunch of black projects... These guys are fucking awesome.

I love this company and the stuff it makes.. I'd seen / heard some stuff prior about them and what they make, but after seeing the opening video and how he thinks / acts 100% a fan for life. Hell even if they end up making skynet real, still a fan. We need more massively disruptive innovators in the space breaking the current status quo in the defense industries.

Never heard of this guy before, and the company, maybe it is because it is far away, and he doesn't get as much attention as Elon Musk. His work is frighteningly great.

Elon Musk is a front man to perform "Roman Bread and Circus" psyops on the world.. Flaunting old technology as new.. In order to obfuscate the actual level of technology we possess now.

The Elon brought us reusable launch vehicles. He's creating the panopticon. Getting these things made is significant, not that the panopticon is going to be beneficial to humanity, but it is a significant achievement, and takes surveillance to a new, freakish, level. He's not just an obscurantist. He's definitely a frontman, but there's revolutionary results coming out of that front. Dozens of companies are following trails he's blazed today, and each of those trails.

The surveillance issue is problematic, almost surreal, and he's not forthright about it, but who is? Giordano, maybe, but he's a defense research guy, not a Robber Baron like the Elon. If we have a hope of catching some route past the sky, it'll be because Spacex dropped the cost of payloads to orbit by an order of magnitude.

Elon didn't bring us reusable tail landers though.. that shit was done in the 70's.. It was a flying grain bin basically.. they also did it in the early 2000's with another rocket.

There is nothing revolutionary coming out of his camp. It's all a diversion.

Neuralink is archeotech.. fMRI / magnetoencephalography with SQUID superconduction makes it completely unnecessary to shove fucking wires in neurons.. They will NEVER be able to get the fidelity and time space domain data needed for proper BMI with that bullshit.

Elon is going to cause Kessler syndrome with his stupid fucking starlink constellations.. Not to mention completely fuck up the night sky for star watchers.

Rocket technology is fine for ICBMs and shit.. but end of the day we have been able to generate localized gravity waves for a long time now, and about half the "UFO" you see is our tech.

Sell the idiots rockets and shitty EVs, claiming to bring the future when the actual state of tech is probably capable of interstellar travel.. The phoenix lights was one of ours..

Surveillance is just part of life at this point.. If people realized that the literal electron flux of their neural cell molecules fluctuating while brain activity happens can and are measured at distance, en masse, leveraging machine learning to quite literally leverage the connectdome project to real time monitor / digitize what you think, feel, see etc etc etc.

Short of living in a god damn faraday cage.. I'm not sure it's possible to have true privacy anymore.

TLDR: Elon merely buys out companies and others skills and pretends he's some engineer and tech messiah.. 100% that fuck doesn't do shit but post self aggrandizing garbage on twitter all day.

"Elon didn't bring us reusable tail landers though.. that shit was done in the 70's.. It was a flying grain bin basically.. they also did it in the early 2000's with another rocket."

I am an avid enthusiast. This information is not known to me. Please provide source.

However, the point I made is still valid. The Elon dropped the price of a payload to orbit by 10x. That REALLY matters.

"...gravity waves..."

This is the compression and stretching of spacetime, which I approve of learning how to do. If we can learn to control this, we can get places fast.

However, I've seen no evidence we can do this.

"Elon merely buys out companies..."

I don't care. The point is that Elon, even if he's only a front, is fronting enormous changes to these industries. These change are material and significant. That's what matters. Besides, how could we tell?

I am uninterested in Neuralink or surveillance EV's. I think that if I want an EV that meets my needs, I'll have to build it myself, and I'm considering it at this time. I have an FWD vehicle with stub axles that would be suitable for mounting hub motors on and it wouldn't cost enormous sums to do it. I don't need any eldritch software or surveillance crap to do this. Just batteries and a way to charge them, some good wiring, good hub motors, and a rheostat, at least to start.

I suspect there's a reason for the physical chip in Neuralink. There are claims being made that very granular EMF (even satellite) control of wet neural networks - brains - is operational. What would be a good way to defend against this? That may be the angle. I dunno, but I'm not getting a chip in me, unless this kind of attack is demonstrated and Neuralink demonstrates a defense against it. If the remote control of our brains can be attained it's an existential threat.

Palmer Luckey is pretty impressive, though he could also be a front.

Pretty fascinating.

Thanks!

Anduril is pretty fuckin' cool. CEO has big dick energy and a mullet.. I can't find a reason to hate the guy.
