Thank you so much for your response! Yes, I have been told this too about cats. And especially with cats. Although dogs stomachs can "tolerate" veggies, kibble, etc... cats, cannot. They are purely carnivores. "Dietary Torture," great way of putting it!!

Thank you again for the post. Not enough pet owners know these things. Our pets are 100% dependent on us to do the right things for them.
Feeding cats kibble often leads to chronic dehydration, which leads to a major killer of cats, renal failure.
Other than that, kibble often leads to obesity in dogs and cats, which destroys their quality of life.
Yes, exactly. I don't think people should own an animal if they are not A) properly knowledgeable in nutrition for their pet and B) if they are not willing or capable of meeting those nutrition needs.... Otherwise it is just cruelty. So unfair to them. It is our responsibility to look into these things, and take care of them to the best of our abilities.
