I can't believe i missed overlord iv premiere because of exams but i finally watched ep 1. i missed overlord so much, i think it's time for another reread of the ln. although i expected it, kinda sad that the cgi still sucks, the death knights look so out of place. nigredo was mentioned here, maybe we'll finally see (overlord iv ep 1 spoilers) albedo's sister in the anime? since they skipped the scene where ainz-sama and cocytus visit her. (skipped content that should've happened in s1) im also kinda annoyed by the fact they translated sorcerer kingdom as kingdom of darkness, seems like they're following the inaccurate official translation. aura, mare, and albedo sitting on ainz-sama's lap was finally animated, very cute. the conversation with ainzach was okay, but i definitely remember there being more to it in the ln. demiurge's mission in the holy kingdom was briefly mention, as we're getting even closer to the holy kingdom arc, my favorite arc, getting animated. i still feel very conflicted about the movie. (overlord iv ep 1 spoilers) on one hand, pope neia will be introduced, along with some wholesome moments between her and cz2128 delta, jaldabaoth and the holy club scene, more wars and massacres, ainz-sama killing innocent children (sounds very evil out of context, although i guess it's still pretty evil with context), and more, but on the other hand, i am 99% sure madhouse gonna butcher this adaptation. it's gonna be very rushed since 2 volumes in one movie, plus more bad cgi. also there'll be many more appearances of evil lord wrath here, like with the holy club part and stuff, but madhouse's character design for wrath sucks in comparison to the ln. also i hope they don't censor anything since there'll be many brutal parts, but i digress.
