We like looking for old things. They are better quality than new things, and are usually WAY less expensive. We paid $13 usd for the refrigerator, $20 usd for the oven, $20 usd for the washing machine, and the vacuum and sewing machine were free. Fun to find, fun to restore, and fun to use!

It is amazing how some of the older things hold up to time!! I still have an old oven and washing machine. My washing machine isn't nearly as old as the one in your photo but I had aunts that used ones like that!!
I only use that washer occasionally! But, the ones we use all the time are like 25 years old now. 😂😂😂
Lol..sounds about how old mine is! When it breaks then my husband or I go on youtube and figure out whats wrong and fix it ourselves..still does a great job!! ;)
Our dryer is currently making noises like a helicopter, so I think after 25 years it might be dying.

You're a woman after my own heart @zythia I love bargain shopping too and somehow receive more retail therapy after purchasing a good quality bargain item (and saving those extra dollars) than buying new at times.
It's just funny to point to or stove and tell people we only paid $20 for it. :)
