... the TRON & STEEM partnership:
▪️1. Ned Scott sold his Steemit Inc. shares to Justin Sun. However, except for the change in leadership and collaboration with Tron, nothing much changes. The Steem token and ecosystem will remain for now. Also, the Steemit team will stay as it is.
▪️2. Next week they will publish the "communities" update.
▪️3. The SMT development is ready and will be released "soon" (no exact timeline).
▪️4. The Tron foundation will help to fund dApps.
▪️5. dApps will be listed on exchanges that support Tron, for example Poloniex.
▪️6. The blockchain ecosystem will be more stable and scalable due to more resources.
▪️7. Onboard more users is one of the priorities. TRON already has a widespread user base which they plan to bring over to the Steem ecosystem.
▪️8. Something interesting Sun mentioned is that they are cooperating with Samsung. newly launched Samsung Galaxy S20 and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip mobile phones will come with access to TRON DApp services - so it might be possible to integrate existing dApps like APPICS in the future
Although there are still some unanswered questions, the livestream shed some light on the situation and we definitely see advantages from the acquisition.
Their resources, ecosystem and marketing experience will surely benefit the STEEM ecosystem and bring us closer to mass adoption 🚀
Also, Justin Sun mentioned APPICS in his medium blogpost, as the “dApp Instagram alternative”, which shows that we’re on their radar and he acknowledges our project and community - that’s great news!

I know there is still a lot of confusion and doubt in our Steem community. Some people do not trust Justin, but it's not like Steem was showing signs of going viral. Perhaps with a bigger company behind it things can happen. We have a lot going for us with cool dapps like Appics. There's nothing quite like Steem and we know it can work. I am cautiously optimistic for now. I'm sure someone will try to shoot me down :)
If @Nerd had done his job properly, I doubt Steem would have slipped from #30 to #78... Good riddance... Though I'm not very comfortable with Sunny despite his cash and marketing experience... Have we traded one headache for a migraine? Not sure :( Hoping for the best!!!
We shall see. Justin seemed unsure what he bought. Maybe 'Nerd' is a better salesman than manager.
It's up to Inc. to clue him in, and I think they will make a strong effort... It'd be better for all if he'd leave things alone... I'm for interoperability, but not killing off one chain to enrich an inferior one :)
This seems to dispel some of the FUD. People will pick up immediately if they start breaking things.
Watching it now! I know they were really scrambling to beat Voice's launch day and they got disorganized... Hopefully the messiness of this transition will fade away.

So glad that Appics was mentioned in his post and that it is on his radar, this is fantastic news!! I actually just did a post 2 hours ago on this, and that I am very optimistic about this Colaberation and staying positive, I feel Steem and Steemit.inc has been going nowhere for a long time and this may be just what the doctor ordered, only time will tell! Upped 100% going over to Steemit to Resteem. Go Go Appics!
The main problem is the lack of clarity from all of the FUD and press releases. If Justin is going to invest into steemit.inc money and people to advance the blockchain and market it to the world that is a great thing. If he wants to collaborate between steem and tron even better to open up apps to a bigger user base and interoperatability down the line gives us a better chance of success especially as he continues to buy and add other groups to the system.
The real problem is that without a clear plan or even some ideas about how this will take shape everybody is still worried about the other option. He wants to export all of the steem apps and users to the tron chain. Offers an airdrop or token swap for a new tron based steem token and gets STEEM killed on the exchanges. We can fork out his stake but without the exchange listings and the loss of some apps and users STEEM will lose most of it's value. While it continue to run it will only be a shadow of what we have now.
I think its great! We all have to work together to make the world better. Positivity is the key and appics will be on a great rollercoaster ride in the front seat smiling and waving as we enjoy the ride and the world sees us go by, saying now I wanna ride that ride. Justin sun knows how to promote and in huge way. All these new updates are great for everyone. Good things are in store for us all. Lets enjoy this rollercoaster ride indeed. As for VOICE, still waiting for my email and I signed up the day they announced it and the same for beta access too. I'm Not hearing much about it, beacuse I dont think to many people are able to get access yet. Heard everyones profile pics look like mugshots lol, since its sign up process requires a selfie in real time. I'll let you know if I get access tho.
Will @appics integrate STEEM Communities at some point? As a community owner I’d love to have people able to post into my community via Appics.
Perhaps allowing the user to control the first tag which defines what community posts are posted in for the short term?

I wish they were clear on the airdrop and token swap being the EOS/STEEM peg specifically .... I don’t see a replacement for our blockchain being put forward so we have nothing to fear in all reality it’s only EOS(edit I meant eos/STEEM peg) and the ever dwindling Steemit that will be absorbed by Tron 🤞🤞
How does EOS have anything to do with this?
The post is now deleted but on the main medium blog for tron link wallet a post went up stating that STEEM was eos based and that was what will be used for the tron airdrop... essentially eos/STEEM peg consumed by tron/STEEM peg... I may be over simplifying it
Just trying to make sense of what’s actually happening through the marketing language... it was the first detail I have read about mention of any chain related to STEEM and it stated clearly STEEM is a eos20 token and that was what was being consumed for investment in the airdrop.
So far this teams info has been all over the place.

I think it's an exciting time for us here on Steemit and with the new merger, I think good things will happen, more ways to onboard and the possible integration of Appics and other Dapps with Samsung sounds exciting.

I think steem and steem based dapps will be moon soon. I dont think so that there will be a coin swap. It will be a disaster. Or actually if i am thinking as a investor it will kill the investment for sure. But Justin know how to make a good marketing and he have a team and money to make what Ned didnt. So I feel positive for the future.
I am so hopeful about the collaboration.I hope that it will bring good result for STEEM and APPICS !

I am optimistic too. I wish there can be more synergy between different dapps. Bit tube, lbry, musicoin, dsound etc. Tron is one of the big in the crypto world.
