On 17th of May Aragon ICO managed to gather $24.75 millions (275.000 ETH) in about 15 minutes. It was the fastest ICO that ever happened. Previously Gnosis ICO was considered a success managing to gather $12.5 millions in 15 minutes. But what is Aragon and why its ICO had this tremendous success?
Aragon is developed by Luis Cuende & Jorge Izquierdo and is trading already on Bittrex. It has doubled its value already. Early investors were able to buy 100 ANT (Aragon Tokens) for 1 ETH which now seems like a pretty good deal.
Aragon's dev team already created an alpha version available in Windows, Mac & Linux and a dApp that you can use within your browser by using MetaMask. As you can see in the images below the interface is pretty slick and although in alpha version many features have been implemented.
You can already create a company and assign shares to each person involved.
You can assign roles to each person involved in the company.
All users with a voting permission is able to vote for an action such as new stock issuing and setting vesting rules.
The team's roadmap involves many cool things such as dividend sharing & digital jurisdiction. As the ICO ended in a big success I believe the devs will hire more capable people that will help them built what may end as the future of corporations.
The team should have a generous budget to spent on marketing although many open source projects/organization expressed an interest to invest while Aragon was not even in alpha phase. These open source projects could easily give a boost on ANT price as Aragon solves a big problem and can help to manage such organizations in a secure & efficient way.
I am pretty sure that decentralized organizations / corporations will dominate in the near future as by using Aragon corporations can lower their creation & maintenance fees and at the same time provide a secure interface that promotes transparency and minimizes bureaucracy.
