March of Diamonds - Cornealus is a Closer for the End of Season + Magnor is The Man + Tide Biter Bonus Battle feat Merdaali Guardian

in #arcange2 years ago (edited)

1)This battle felt really good to win as I thought to myself, with 1 vs 1 coming up at the end of this battle, "Oh No", ... "I can't attack with Cornealus", but check out this battle here for yourself! Also, if you haven't seen my last post, check it out right here while your here - https://peakd.com/spt/@birdzbeezntreez/win-lose-or-draw-3-battles-to-study-this-game-is-amazing-and-so-much-fun--bonus-skip-to-results-pro-tip
The Beautiful Eye Ball got us a well deserved draw last week, and once again we see Cornealus healing up in the first position. Cornealus heals up without close range, until fatigue, & during fatigue, to get us the win! We are now only 1 or 2 wins away from Diamond Wild,at the time of this writing. And the fact that we've already reached Diamond Modern last night, & there's only 1 hour + to go in the season at the time of this writing, makes it that much more exciting, & a very much attainable goal. We now have a score now of 2786 with this win.

Pelacor Conjurer, and Stitch Leech, really do well to help win this battle with magic reflect for everyone as a rule set, as well as reverse speed for both teams. Watch Cornealus in reverse speed vs Mycelic Infantry for the win. We chose Pelacor here for the not only the reflect, which he has anyway, but also the divine shield, and the 7 Health. For a 2 mana card, it's very useful. Even in reverse speed, it can stil be very powerful because of all these abilities. The amplify & void armor come from Rathe and also help a lot.

Our opponent's only "leveled up summoner" seems to be Obsidian,so I knew they would use Obsidian, and she's only a level 4. I still only have a level 4 Obsidian, but we just got all but 1 left to get to a level 5, as we purchased 12 Obsidian's last night at around $1.30 ranginf from $1.27-$1.33. Today, 1 day later, they are now $1.18/$1.19.Level 6 is the maximum level for gold Level rare. So if your debating playing in higher leagues, I say go for it, as not all teams are leveled up, and prices are good right now!

Pelacor can still work well in reverse speed

Mycelic Infantry is great in reverse speed- read the lore if you like

Cornealus in Noxious Fumes can save you with self heal

The large, floating eyeball monster known as Cornealus has strange magical powers and can see anything for miles in any direction. No one knows from whence it came.

Moving onto Battle # 2

2)After some back & forth loss, win, loss, wins, we were able to make it through to Diamond 3 with a Wild Rating of 2804!! With this Jacek Win we were able to reach Modern & Wild into Diamond 3 without renting one single card, and at the same time watching the overall $value decline over the last 2 months, but that's okay.. We like to think in long term vision when it comes to that right now while we're in this Bear Market.

Magnor puts in work here with Trample. Great way to accomplish Wild Diamond 3 here! With Jacek and Spirit Miner helping to add +3 speed Magnor takes out 4 cards, which I've never seen I don't think, have you? I don't remember ever seeing that, and he ends with 8 Mele 9 Speed & 9 Health!!

Magnor is a remainder of the Titans and Giants that used to thrive in the Splinterlands, before nearly all of them destroyed themselves through war. He resembles a Human, but stands about fifteen feet tall with far greater strength and more durable flesh. Several hundred years ago, Magnor retreated from the public eye to tend the rivers and dams of lava that are always flowing beneath Molten Mountains. Without Magnor's constant and diligent maintenance of the lava, many of the great Ferexia cave cities would have collapsed long ago.

3)This last battle in this Friday December 16th, 2022 post, is from this new season. Tide Biter, along with Diemon Shark, and Merdaali Guardian take on Mylor Crowling, Kron The Undying, Hunter Jarx & Company!! Check out Tide Biter's Reflection Shield here vs Hunter Jarx's thorns from Mylor Crwoling @ the End!

Merry New Year!!

His powerful connection with the water saved him.

The Merdaali Guardians are a noble group committed to protecting all sea life and do not pay much attention to the affairs of people and the land. They are graceful to behold, often adorning themselves with shining jewelry. They prefer pacifism to conflict and are adept at healing and helping others through their connection to magic. However, when the Chaos Legion came to the Splinterlands, they swore to use their magic to protect what they hold most dear.
