..is all I can muster tonight.
I drew this a week ago. First drawing I’ve attempted in months or a year. It happened thanks to a state of tiredness which made me reckless enough for scribbling.
Didn’t bother unpacking fancy mediums for it. Just grabbed a handful of colored pencils, pens and ink for scribbling onto a sheet of pale yellow printer paper.
The resultant figure is loosely inspired on a Greco-Roman era sculpture depicting the Roman Sun God Mithras as a Lion headed and human torsoed chimera, held together by a coiled serpent wrapping around the torso & arms. A cross-species chimeric combination such as this is not unique in history. There has to be a subtextual importance to its repetition - what does a combination like this imply anthropomorphically?
I liked completing my drawing because it happened naturally. It’s good to see there’s an unquenchable artistry inside, albeit inside a place not readily accessible to me.
I drew it absent mindedly as I listened to one of the last videos recorded by dearly department Tracy Twyman. Had to interrupt drawing to transcribe and timestamp some of Tracy’s unbelievably predictive observations. In terms of her abundant gifts to what needs to be an expanding, global audience, she’s truly a saint. A sage, a seer, one of my greatest heroes and inspirations.

It just had quite a lot of them, you know enough so it could do a very very sophisticated response to my mind in real time. So maybe it had some components, including ones based on me you know, gathered in the past that were composed on the fly. That were used to autogenerate contents related to the content of my mind. That's possible.”
Sounds unbelievable huh? Schizophrenic paranoiac fantastical delusions made up of science fiction fantasy!
