Pro-Art-Tips Test Video
For quite awhile now, I've been setting up a video camera "over my shoulder" and letting it run as I worked. I did this with the intention that one day I'd be able to put all that raw footage together into some sort of promotional/instructional video series. Now that I've started posting Pro-Art-Tips on my Steemit blog, I've been thinking that perhaps I could incorporate video somehow into them. I don't know how that would work yet, and I'm certainly not an accomplished video artist. However, I did try making a short test video using iMovie by cutting up some clips and patching them together.
I've also been experimenting with setting up the camera right over my paper as I work, shooting upside down, and then righting the image in iMovie. That seems to work alright so far. However, I'm having a lighting issue: too much light coming in from the north facing window on the left and less light on the right, but it's not too noticeable. And although the image isn't square with the camera, it is possible to watch the painting progress.
I'm posting this test video to see how it looks and how it works. If anyone has any constructive suggestions, I'd be glad to read them in the comment section. Please remember that this is a test and by no means a finished video. It's about six minutes long.
Thanks!
P.S. There is no narration and no music, but these can be added to future videos, and I would do a much better job of editing. I sort of threw this to together just to test it out.
Have a superlatively stunning day today and every day!

These are stunning art works. I love your landscapes and the one here featuring a pumpkin patch. You seem to really love what you do. You're few of the lucky ones in that regard. It will still take me 3-5 years to chase my passion but getting there. Thanks for sharing

Thank you very much @steemitph So glad you enjoy my work. Yes, I love what I do and feel fortunate that I chose art as my lifestyle but it's something I earned through hard work and dedication. I truly wish I were "lucky." If I were, I'd be rich and famous now! 😀
Looking forward to seeing how you develop this!
Given the light from the left (and the fact that you're right handed) I would suggest exploring more of the "over the left shoulder from above" perspective... it might reduce variations in light intensity and glare/bounce from the window... also makes it easier for the viewer to see brush/pencil strokes and any shadow cast by your right hand/arm will be less evident.

@reddragonfly Thanks for the feedback!
Great for learners it will help a lot !!
@blazing thanks for the encouragement
Thank you so Much, for sharing the process.
Keep posting. I like your effort.

You're welcome @james7 and thank YOU for your support.
I fully support your attempt to make art pro videos about drawing!
So a lot of people will be able to learn from you.
Waiting for you to upload more in future.
Have a nice weekend.
Thank you @yaan
Ah, I can't watch the video right now but I think this is a great idea! After I check it out I'll leave a comment with some feedback for you though! I'd definitely suggest either adding narration or some copyright free background music for future videos though. If you go the narration route, it could be added after the fact as long as you have a decent microphone to record and sync up with the video so you don't have to try and speak while you're painting either.
