Psychedelic Art: Tree tunnel

Hello Fellow Steemians, today i present you some more psychedelic art.
The Original Photo was taken quite a while ago, maybe it is a real tree tunnel at this point.
I think will be visiting this place in the spring again.
Enough with the rambling, lets get to it.
The final work

The Original

To create this picture i copied the original picture and layered the copy with a full spectrum color gradient.
Afterwards i fiddled with the hue, to create a bigger contrast on the darker branches of the threes and obviously to give it a warmer color pattern.
I Then put the Layer mode on to overlay and the opacity to 80%, after that i create another layer out of the original and the edited copy.
This is how it looked like.
Step One

I copied The Fused layer again as a back up and i worked again on the copy.
This time i used a whirl Filter to create the overlaying patterns, which gives it this really psychedelic look.
Step Two

But i wasn't yet happy with the result,it was still to dark and the patterns were not visible enough.
So i duplicated it again and tried out a couple of different filters, but nothing did quite work until i tried the whirl filter again.
I choose a higher density and played a bit with the other settings.
