Here are some pictures of different types of Asia salad, which defines a group of different types of vegetables that have their origin in Asia. Most species come from China or Japan and traditionally it has been grown there for centuries and most of the salads of this group belong to the mustard plants which are also known under the scientific name Brassica. In Asia, because of the spicy taste, some species are traditionally used in the kitchen and also in Western countries it is becoming increasingly popular and the salad can be consumed raw as well as cooked and is rich in mustard oils which can be extremely effective from a medical point of view and can be used against numerous types of diseases and are appreciated because of the antibiotic abilities. There are many good reasons why Asian salad is cultivated more and more in other countries and it is interesting that it is relatively easy to cultivate and grows quickly and if you sow it out at regular intervals it is possible to harvest it all year round and some species can be consumed after just a few weeks. Another great characteristic is the resistance to frost and it is a great alternative for those who are also looking for something for the winter, but it is important to know here that the growth time changes in winter and during this times it is optimal to grow this salad in the greenhouse or to protect it from the cold when it is in the bed on very cold nights. In winter it takes longer until you can harvest and when harvesting you should make sure to cut the leaves relatively high, otherwise it will affect the future harvests and when sowing, you should choose a soil that is relatively loose and plant it with a distance of several centimeters and make also sure that you choose a mild temperature for germination.
