Here you can see a breathtaking work of art by the painter Anton Zwengauer (1810 - 1884) who was an important painter of the Biedermeier era and was highly appreciated for his realistic landscape paintings. If you take a closer look at the painting, you see with what level of detail Zwengauer worked with and it is rather rare that you see a painting with such a realistic charisma and at first glance you could almost think that it is a picture and the work of art should represent an evening atmosphere at the pond and he has managed this well by choosing the right colors as well as stylistic devices. He discovered the passion for art early in his youth and at the beginning of adulthood he decided to visit an Academy of Arts in Munich and his focus at the beginning was the representation of historical topics until he discovered his true passion and had decided to devote himself to painting different types of landscapes. He taught himself most of landscape painting and he traveled a lot through different countries and went a lot into nature to be inspired and often he also took his artistic tools with him on his travels to draw sketches which he then completed at home. He became more and more successful as an artist and this even led to the fact that the King of Bavaria Maximilian II (1811 - 1864) from the house of Wittelsbach became aware of him and he had the opportunity to work for him in a gallery and to this day he is probably particularly known for his atmospheric landscape paintings which have a high recognition value and create a unique atmosphere.
