About house plants and creative issues

in #art3 years ago

Hi, guys!
Today is a great day for my home garden and I feel super excited about it. Today soil and seeds and pots must arrive, and in the evening I will be planting first plants. As I said in one of my previous posts it will be a shelf with pots, and with lighting connected, where I plan to grow different grass (not sure how it must sound in English, but I'm talking about things as dill and oregano), to put them in my food and feel happy about that lol:)

My mom asked me "Why don't you move from the city if you'd like to do stuff like that". The thing is - I don't want to have an actual garden and I don't want to move to the country. I don't feel that connection to earth, and I feel much more comfortable in a big city. I just want to have a nice looking shelf with grass for fun, and that's what I'm about to have. We googled some pre-made shelfs for growing plants, but they all are super expensive and we're not sure what will happen if something will break in them. We want something that we can fix ourselves, and that means we need to do something ourselves.

We diceded to order pots first, so we will know their exact size, and exact size of whole construction. Of course I did my part almost on the day when the idea came to my mind, but they will arrive only this evening. And seems like all night I will be busy with planting seeds:) May be if they all will be already planted my hubby will do the rest faster, cause I actually already can't wait:)

If to get back to the main topic of my blog, which is my creative journey - I already came back to work, but I do it really slowly, step by step. Seems like my brain gets scared of whatever it sees and stops functioning when it wants. So I decided not to scare it anymore, be gentle, and ask him to do only things that it's ready to do. That's not much, but as my hubby says it's more, than nothing.
I collected all my speedpaints on my YouTube channel (first downloaded them to TicTok, and I really enjoyed the platform. Not the content that it provides, but if to look at it as at the system for speedpaints - it's pretty neat).

Today I'd like to share the process of this portrait:

BTW it's one of my upcoming comic book characters:)

So, good morning, and have a great day! I hope mine will be productive:)

See you in the next post!
Love, Inber

Nice character!

I think you mean you're going to grow herbs, which is pretty exciting! I've been growing more herbs these last few years aswell and I especially use the rosemary, mint and chives a lot. Feels a little healthier ;-)
I moved houses (again) and now have a bigger garden, so I've been growing tomato plants from seeds I took from my favorite tomato kind. Very exited to see how they will do once outside :-)

I do understand not wanting an actual garden. It takes a lot of time and I wasn't a big fan either until a few years ago. Now that I'm overworked again, I notice working with my hands helps a lot, so pulling out weeds is kinda therapuetic. Though for you, painting is probably the way to go!

Actually I will plant some tomatoes too:) It's just... They will be small ball size:)
And of course this everything will happen if my dog will not get to the seeds first:)

Awesome watercolor... great character for a story too. You should also share your Videos on HideoutTV... I earn about $300 a month there.
