Take a look at my painting process! This piece is titled "Peachy", I finished her in about a week and I used oil paint. I was inspired by the beautiful @eve.frsr on instagram, she is so unique looking and I couldn't resist painting her.
Make your way to the bottom to watch the time lapse of me painting this portrait. Would love to hear your thoughts and answer any questions you may have!
My Process in photos:
I start out with painting the entire canvas with a color using acrylic paint (because it drys quickly). After that I make a rough sketch using oil paint, specifically burnt sienna.
Next,
I then fill in as much as I can of the portrait getting the base colors down so I can fine tune it from there.
Next,
Adding more layers into her hair and face, slowly creating more detail and sharpening her features and brightening the colors.
Next,
I then added in the clouds in the background, overlapping into her hair. After this step I continued for a bit longer adding in the details of her hair, more shades of peach, red, and burgundy. I also brightened her face more and sharpened her eyes, made them a bit brighter.
