Cat Queen (my new illustration)

in #art6 years ago (edited)

Constantly trying out my new art supplies...

Here's something I did using promarkers (alcohol based markers).
I'm still struggling with achieving an effect I'm looking for... It's much harder than I thought!

what do you think?

You should video yourself doing one of this drawing and post it on dtube, i would love to watch it, try to put it in 2 or 4 times speed so we can see the whole process faster

I'm planning to! stay tuned! :)

Dear Artist ! This post has been resteemed and upvoted from FineArtNow account ! See you soon !

I think I love it as always :) And that little crown again! Looks like you are getting good with new art supplies @milenamilak.

aww, thank you as always! :) have you ever tried promarkers? I can see some resemblance to watercolours... I think you could probably like it!

Are those like waterbased markers? I have some Talens watercolor in marker packs..Brush pen Ecoline..Use them sometimes instead of regular watercolors.

well, they're still quite far from watercolors because the color itself is quite solid and quite hard to mix. It's more the transparency you can achieve and the challenging part of painting where there's almost no space to make a mistake.

I will try to find them here, love to try out new things. Thanks for the tip.

waow great painting.

❤️👌 me encanta! 🙂

gracias! me alegra! :D

I never heard of alcohol based markers before. Interesting. How are they different from other markers performance-wise? Based on this work, they seem very bright.

Brightness of the colours I think is mainly a matter of pictures and my particular marker set where most of the colours are very intense. The main feature that alcohol based markers have is that they're blendable. Take a look here for more information: http://blog.pullingers.com/how-to-use-letraset-promarkers/

Love the cats green eyes.

thank you! :)

wow, so beautiful kitty!!! I love her soooo much ^_^

Cute Queen (:

beautiful art i like it

thank you :)

I like it a lot! I like the bright colours you get from those markers. I've been trying to teach myself to paint with watercolours or water-soluble pencils, and graphite and... well, I just make mud mostly. You're really good :)

aww, thank you, Keith! Well, I can highly recommend looking for YT tutorials!

Yes, I do that, thank you. It's is very enjoyable to watch but it may be possible that my brain is only wired for my camera. :)

Beautiful art! Congrats, @milenamilak !! 😊

thank you a lot! :)
